The great thing about the farm is there sure is plenty of fresh air and outdoor space. There are several activities to do outside at Gomez Family Farm such as fishing, hiking, viewing farm animals and other wildlife, playing outdoor games, and enjoying the fire pit.

Perfect for use in outdoor fire pits and woodstoves, our firewood is available for purchase at the unbeatable price of just $10. Firewood stack includes 16 sticks of wood. Pre-pay now and we will have it stacked and ready for you to use during your visit.

The nature trails for hiking are open from sunrise to sunset daily. The entrance to the nature trails are found in the backyard of both the cabin and the farmhouse. Please stay on the trails. Enjoy at your own risk. Beware of poison ivy, animals, and ticks. Please be advised that Swampland Trail is only for advanced hikers with appropriate footwear. Swampland Trail is a trail through a swamp.

Our farmstay offers two boat rentals for our guests to enjoy on our beautiful pond: a John boat and a pedal boat. Both boats are available for complimentary use by our guests and are a great way to enjoy the peaceful and serene atmosphere of our farm. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or simply want to relax on the water, our boat rentals offer something for everyone. You will find these boats on the pond's peninsula. We hope you enjoy them!

In the cabin & farmhouse you will find a map for a self-guided farm tour. The farm tour is open from 10 am until 6 pm. You can purchase bagged animal feed to feed the animals for $1 each.

Notice for Safety:

1. Do not hand feed pigs! You can put feed on the ground or in their trough.

2. If feeding cows and goats directly from your hands keep hands and fingers flat.

3. Do not climb, stand, or sit on fences.

4. Be kind and gentle to animals.

5. For your safety do not feed animals outside of the animal feeding area.

If you plan to invite guests who are not included in your original reservation, please note that a fee of $20 per additional guest per day will be applicable, no matter how short their visit may be. This fee helps us maintain our facilities and uphold the quality of our services for all visitors.

While we adore our furry friends, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate guests' pets on our property. This policy is in place to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for all our guests.

To ensure a peaceful and enjoyable experience for all our guests, we have designated quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During these hours, we kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping noise levels to a minimum.

We do allow fishing at Catfish Pond, but it is catch and release only.

If you wish to go fishing to keep your catch, you may want to try fishing at Lake Palestine and Neches River. Both places offer excellent fishing opportunities and are very close to the farm.

If you bring unexpected extra guests, we will do our best to accommodate them, but please be advised that we do charge extra guest fees at $20 per person (over 4 guests) no matter how short guest visits may be. Maximum guests at any one time for the farmhouse is 9 guests and maximum guests for the cabin is 5 guests.

2. We are unable to accommodate guest's animals. We do have animal boarding in our area that you may reach out to if you are traveling with animals. If you are found to have an animal we will charge you a $200 cleaning fee and your visit will be terminated without a refund given.

3. We do not allow events/parties on our property.

Any violation of house rules will result in termination of your visit with no refund.

Gómez Family Farm is a 50 acre family owned farm located in Flint, Texas that produces vegetables, fruits, honey, eggs, fish, pork and beef to feed our family. We incorporate many homesteading skills on our farm to be self-sufficient. We have opened our farm cabin for short term rentals. Come for a visit to relax, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the great outdoors while building memories with your family on our farm.

We are a veteran owned farm. We have 3 generations of family members who have served our country. We love the outdoors, farming, and teaching others.
