6th Annual BLE Walk to School Day: OCT. 3, 2019
WALK TO SCHOOL DAY: OCTOBER 3, 2019
Bailey Lake is taking part in this year’s “National Walk to School Day.” The aim is to raise awareness of the benefits of walking and biking to school, hence promoting a healthy journey to school.
How can you participate in Walk To School Day? If you usually walk to school, then carry on doing exactly that and your child will get their sticker! If you live too far away from school, we will be gathering in the CVS parking lot (corner of Sashabaw Rd. and Clarkston Rd.) at 7:50 am and begin walking to BLE at 8:00 am. All grade levels are encouraged to participate as well as parents and siblings. FYI—parents and siblings will need to find their own way back to CVS parking lot.
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
Please keep in mind the following guidelines for costumes at school: We are asking that children not wear costumes depicting violence or violent acts.
Please leave all toy guns, knives and swords at home. Also, please reserve the elaborate costumes, face paint and make-up for trick or treating. Halloween is an exciting time--let’s all help to make sure it is a safe experience for the children. Students will have time to put on costumes in the classroom before the Halloween Parade begins—please do not send students to school wearing costumes. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
