SPEC Summer Arts Camp
Important Information
Hello!
We are so excited to welcome our campers next week for St. Paul's Summer Arts Camp! We have many amazing art projects, wonderful songs, and fun movement activities planned! See below for some important information such as directions, sign in/sign out, what to bring, meeting our team, and details regarding our Friday performance & lunch for campers and their families! Just a reminder: snack is included daily!
If you have not yet sent in your check for payment, please bring the camp fee of $40 either in cash or with a check made out to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Monday morning (the first day of camp!)
Please contact Meaghan Thomas with any questions at speckids@spechurch.com.
DIRECTIONS
Park in the back parking lot (off of Princess Street). You will see balloons and a welcome sign on the ramp leading up to the red doors. Come up the ramp and follow the arrows to the Parish Hall. There you will sign in, verify contact information, and drop your camper off for the morning!
SIGN IN/SIGN OUT
Please make sure to walk your camper all the way in each morning, as they must be signed in by an adult. We will begin at 9:00 am. Similarly, at the end of each day, please come in to sign your camper out. Camp ends each day at noon.
WHAT TO BRING
Please send your camper with a reusable water bottle if possible. We will have water available should one be forgotten. Please dress your camper in play clothes - we may get a little messy! Snack is included daily, but if your camper requires a special diet you may wish to pack your own.
SAFETY
For the safety of our campers, doors into the church will be locked after 9:30am. They will remain locked until 11:45am. If you need to enter for any reason, there is a doorbell at the ramp entrance or you can call the Parish Office at 910-762-4578. On Friday, doors will be open beginning at 11:15 to come in prior to the performance at 11:30.
WHAT NOT TO BRING
We ask that campers do not bring cellphones, smart watches or books during the week of camp. Our time with them is limited, and we want to encourage interaction between campers. If you need to reach your camper for any reason, do not hesitate to call the Parish Office. If campers need to call home for any reason we will accommodate that request!
SPECIAL NEEDS / CONTACT
Thank you to all that provided information about allergies or other special needs for your camper. We will verify this information on the first day. If there is any new information please share with us at that time so we can be prepared. In addition, if your camper has a birthday during the week of camp, please let us know!
FRIDAY PERFORMANCE & LUNCH
We invite campers' families to join us Friday at 11:30 in the Sanctuary for a performance of our songs learned throughout the week. We will follow the performance with a pizza lunch in the Parish Hall, where families will have a chance to view their camper's artwork and celebrate a fun week at Summer Arts Camp! Please RSVP using the link below by Wednesday, June 19th so we can adequately prepare for our guests!
