Boys basketball tryouts will begin the week of November 4th (additional information on the tryout schedule will be available soon). Boys interested in attending can fill out a Google Form that was sent to their student email account. All players attending tryouts must have a current year physical (dated after 4/15/2024) turned in. Sports physicals are being collected online only this year through the Big Teams website. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Ready to earn big money just by writing about your Michigan hero?

This year 8th graders have the chance to win $1,000 and an additional $1,000 for RMS by entering the 56th annual writing contest.

Join the hundreds of other 8th graders across the state and write about your personal Michigan hero. This could be any Michigan resident who you admire and respect.

Remember your essay needs to be no more than 500 words and is for 8th graders only. The top 10 winners from the state will each win $1000 and a special day of VIP treatment in Lansing. (The fourth-place essay was from an RMS student just three years ago!)

All entries must be completed by November 1 - no exceptions.

We are excited to invite your student to our RMS Social Glow Party on Friday, October 25, in the RMS Main Gym from 3:05 pm to 4:30 pm. It will be a fun-filled afternoon with music, glow games, contests, concession stands, and more hosted by your RMS Student Council!

To attend, students will need to purchase a wristband for $5 during their grade-level lunch the week of October 21. Please turn in a signed permission slip below along with the payment when purchasing the wristband. Wristbands will be handed out during 7th hour classes on the day of the event. Permission slips were passed out during 1st hour and are also available in the office.

Important Information:

• Early Dismissal: Students will not be allowed to leave the event early.
• Belongings: For safety, all belongings (except for phones and any cash for the concession stands) should be stored in lockers immediately following 7th hour. Students may return to their locker before leaving the building to collect their belongings.
• Behavior Expectations: Students are expected to follow the RMS behavior policy throughout the event. Disciplinary action may be taken if rules are not followed.

Attention all fans of outdoor, winter sports! Ski and Snowboard club Registration is now open. All Romeo Ski and Snowboard Clubs will be on Thursday nights this year.

Here is the link for parents to sign up for SKi and Snowboard Club. Registration is open and will end at the end of November.

If you are interested in earning money for your trip we have an opportunity for you. We have the "World's Finest Chocolate" candy bars that you can sell. Each month we will start again and you can sell as any as you can through February. Please see the attached permission slip for all the details.
