Principals' Message
Dear Henking families,
Spring is a busy and exciting time at Henking! Our recent assemblies have been a great experience for both students and staff.
Assemblies
A big thank you to Mr. Turner for organizing a visit from Griffin’s Tale, a theater group that brought our students’ own stories and poems to life on stage.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming children’s book author Sarah Glenn Marsh, who shared her writing journey and inspired our young readers and writers.Thank you to our HeHo PTA and Mrs. Davidson for planning and supporting these enriching opportunities for our students.
Bike Unit
Despite some uncooperative weather, our 1st and 2nd graders made great progress with their bicycle skills. Thanks to the dedication of our PE teachers and the students’ hard work, we now have many new riders!
Thank you for your continued support. Your involvement—whether at home, in the classroom, or at school events—makes a real difference. We value our partnership and look forward to continuing to work together.
Patty and Becca

Dear District 34 Families,
You can now register your child for the 2025-2026 school year. Whether you are registering your first child for kindergarten or your youngest for 8th grade, register.glenview34.org will be the place to go. You may also need to provide health forms and proof of residency. Please keep reading to learn more!
Early Registration Deadline: June 3, 2025
We promise to be pleasantly persistent in reminding you to register before the early registration deadline of June 3, 2025. There’s a discount in it for you!
Families who register for kindergarten with a full-day experience before that deadline will pay a $3,360 fee (a $336 deposit is due at registration); the fee increases to $3,660 after the deadline.
The early registration discount for all other grades is $100.
See more details about fees at glenview34.org/fees.
Fee Facts
A breakdown of all fees can be found on our website. Below we’ve highlighted some important fee information and any new updates from last year regarding fees.
Kindergarten Fees - Families who register for kindergarten with a full-day experience before that deadline will pay a $3,360 fee (a $336 deposit is due at registration); the fee increases to $3,660 after the deadline.
There are two payment options:
Option 1: Pay in full
Option 2: Pay deposit now plus 9 monthly installments beginning 9/1/25

School supply lists for grades 6-8 will be shared closer to the end of the school year.
Field Trip Fees - A $25 field trip fee will be added to K-8th grade student registration that will cover 2 field trips for the year.
Fee Waiver
Families who wish to request a waiver of the required registration fees for the 2025-2026 school year will complete a new fee waiver application. The form is available at glenview34.org/fees.
This fee waiver is separate from the National School Lunch free/reduced lunch application and applies to all grades, including full-day kindergarten.

Families can again choose to extend their child's day to a full-day experience with additional academic and social-emotional programming, and time for lunch and play. Families also have the option to choose a half-day program.
On May 7 from 6-7pm, Henking, Lyon, and Westbrook are hosting information nights for incoming kindergarten families (adults only - students will have opportunities to visit their school closer to the start of the school year). You’ll meet the principal and other school staff, learn about the kindergarten program, and take a tour of the kindergarten classrooms. School staff will be able to answer questions about registration as well.
