đź’™ "CLAS Biweekly Highlights: Leading with Initiative, Growing in Wisdom"! đź’™
Student of the Week: Celebrating Initiative- Victoria Lugo!
Student of the Week: Celebrating Initiative
At Christian LIFE Academy Stuttgart, we honor students who embody initiative—seeing what needs to be done and doing it. Inspired by Philippians 2:4, we encourage students to take responsibility, serve others, and lead with a Christ-centered heart.
We Are Proud to Highlight Victoria Lugo!
This week, we celebrate Victoria Lugo, our esteemed Student President! As the only 8th grader at CLAS, Victoria has embraced her leadership role with grace and dedication, setting an incredible example for her peers. She consistently demonstrates initiative by stepping up when needed, encouraging her fellow students, and keeping our school spirit strong.
Her leadership was especially evident during Olesia’s Gender Reveal Celebration on February 28th, where she led students in decorating the school, organizing fun activities, and motivating others in their academics. Victoria also takes initiative in leading devotions, ensuring that students understand the importance of respecting and obeying God's Word.
Criteria for Student of the Week:
- Takes Action: Steps up to help without being asked.
- Leads by Example: Encourages and serves others.
- Acts with Faith: Trusts God while making a difference.
- Lives Out Our Values: Shows integrity, respect, and service.
Why It Matters
Recognizing students like Victoria reinforces our mission to develop Christ-centered leaders who take responsibility, serve their community, and trust God in all they do. By celebrating initiative, we inspire a culture of faith, leadership, and service at CLAS.
Thank you, Victoria, for your unwavering dedication and for leading with both heart and action! 🎉💕📸
🌟 Celebrating Olesia’s Gender Reveal – It’s a Boy!🌟
Last week’s Gender Reveal Celebration for Olesia was a huge success! The highlight of the event was when Ophelia had the honor of selecting the right cupcake that revealed the baby’s gender.
The day was filled with laughter, creative activities like decorating baby bibs, exciting games, and delicious food. We are grateful for all the parents who joined us and helped make the event so memorable.
Thank you for your continued support!🎉💙
Exploring the Art of Writing with Ms. Brown!
This week, our students had an exciting time during their writing sessions with Ms. Brown, where they explored different styles of writing—from narrative storytelling to creative instructional writing!
Students began by crafting personal narratives about their family vacations, bringing their experiences to life with descriptive details, emotions, and engaging storytelling techniques. It was wonderful to see them express their creativity while learning how to structure their stories with strong beginnings, detailed middles, and meaningful conclusions.
Later in the week, they switched gears to a fun and imaginative challenge—writing instructions in unique and creative ways! One of the most entertaining activities was writing step-by-step instructions on how to make a peanut butter and jelly (PBJ) sandwich. Ms. Brown followed their written directions exactly as written, leading to some hilarious results—some students ended up with peanut butter on the table, jelly on the knife, and no sandwich at all! Through this hands-on learning experience, students edited and refined their instructions until they successfully created—and finally enjoyed—their PBJ sandwiches!
It was truly a fun and inspiring week of writing as students developed their skills, shared their work, and encouraged each other as young authors.

We are so proud of their creativity and growth as writers! Way to go, young authors! ✨📖
Students Explore Website Development in STEAM Class!
STEAM Class: Creating Personalized Websites
In our STEAM class, Mrs. Martin introduced students to the exciting world of website development! Each student created their own personalized webpage to highlight and showcase their academic projects across various subjects, including Science, STEAM, Bible, Holistic Health & Wellness, and English Language Arts—all in one dynamic online platform.
This ongoing project is designed to not only showcase their learning but also equip students with essential 21st-century technology skills through a holistic approach. By developing their own websites, students are learning about digital creativity, critical thinking, and responsible online publishing, all while gaining hands-on experience in web design and content creation.
Students are incredibly proud and excited about this opportunity to share their learning journey with the world. As the academic year progresses, they will continue to refine and expand their websites, ultimately compiling their collective projects into a final showcase at the end of the year.
🌟 Stay tuned as our students continue this exciting journey, developing their websites and preparing to present their learning in a truly innovative way!
Physical Education Fun with Coach Danial!
This week, our students had an exciting and engaging Physical Education (PE) session, focusing on flexibility, strength, and mindfulness.
As part of our holistic approach to learning, students participated in a series of stretching and core exercises, improving their balance, coordination, and posture.
Using yoga mats and balance boards, students explored fun movements that challenged their stability and concentration while also encouraging teamwork and perseverance. These exercises not only enhance physical fitness but also help develop discipline, focus, and self-awareness—all essential components of a healthy and active lifestyle.
One of our students shared:
🗣️ “I love PE because it helps me feel strong and focused for the rest of the day and it's fun!”
Fun Fact! Did you know that balance exercises help improve brain function by strengthening the connection between the body and mind? That means the more we move, the better we learn!
It’s wonderful to see our students actively participating, having fun, and embracing movement as a key part of their education. Great job, everyone! Keep moving and staying strong! 💪✨

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” – Proverbs 2:6
Let’s Grow in Wisdom Together!
Understanding Wisdom
đź“– Memory Verse:
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." – Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)
Understanding Wisdom
What is Wisdom, and How is it Different from Knowledge?
Knowledge is the understanding of facts or information, while wisdom is the ability to apply that knowledge correctly. Knowledge is only half of wisdom—the other half is its application.
Example:
- Knowing about forgiveness is not wisdom unless you actually forgive.
- Knowing about love is only wisdom when you actively love those whom God loves.
How Does Wisdom Help Us Make Better Choices in Life?
Wisdom helps us evaluate our choices by asking: Will applying this knowledge help me or others, or will it cause harm? It guides us to make decisions that reflect God's character and purpose.
Can a Person Be Wise Without Having a Lot of Knowledge?
No, because wisdom is built on the foundation of knowledge, especially God's Word. Without knowing God's truth, we lack the basis for wise decisions.
- John 14:6 – Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
- True wisdom begins with knowing and applying God’s Word.
What Are Some Examples of Wisdom in Everyday Life?
Wisdom in the Bible & Faith:
- Solomon's judgment (1 Kings 3:16-28) – Wisdom in resolving disputes.
- Jesus and the rich young ruler (Mark 10:17-22) – Wisdom in teaching priorities.
- Jesus' responses in the Gospels – Demonstrating wisdom through parables and challenges.
How Does the Bible Define Wisdom?
- James 1:5 – Wisdom is a gift from God that we can ask for.
- Proverbs 9:10 – Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord.
- Proverbs 3:13-14 (NIV): "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold."
Why Does the Bible Say, "The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom"? (Proverbs 1:7)
1. Fear Means Reverence and Deep Respect for God- This "fear" is awe, reverence, and submission to God’s authority, holiness, and power.
- When we fear God, we honor, obey, and seek His guidance (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
- True wisdom begins when we submit to God's authority (Psalm 111:10).
- Without God, we rely on our own limited understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
- It turns us away from evil (Proverbs 8:13).
- Ignoring God leads to foolishness and destruction (Proverbs 10:27).
- Many have knowledge but lack wisdom because they do not apply God's truth (Matthew 7:24-27).
Key Takeaway: The "fear of the Lord" is the foundation of wisdom because it places God at the center of our thoughts, decisions, and actions.
How Did Jesus Demonstrate Wisdom in His Life and Teachings?
- Teaching Through Parables (Luke 10:25-37) – The Good Samaritan teaches love and compassion.
- Answering Critics with Wisdom (Mark 12:13-17) – "Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s."
- Knowing When to Speak and When to Stay Silent (Matthew 27:12-14) – Jesus remained silent before Pilate.
- Showing Love Without Compromising Truth (John 8:1-11) – Mercy for the adulterous woman, but a call to repentance.
- Prioritizing God's Will Over Human Approval (Luke 22:42) – "Not my will, but yours be done."
- Teaching About True Greatness (John 13:12-17) – Washing His disciples’ feet to model servanthood.
- Demonstrating Wisdom Through Miracles (John 2:1-11) – Turning water into wine as a sign of God’s grace.
- Focusing on Eternal Perspective (Matthew 6:19-20) – Storing treasures in heaven, not on earth.
Developing Wisdom
How Can We Grow in Wisdom?
- By Meditating on God's Word (Psalm 1:1-3) – A tree planted by water is strong and fruitful.
- By Praying for Wisdom (James 1:5) – Ask God for wisdom, and He will give it generously.
- By Learning from Experience & Seeking Wise Counsel (Proverbs 9:9) – Wise people learn from correction.
- By Being Humble and Asking Questions (Proverbs 4:7) – The wise seek understanding.
- Reflects God’s Character (Galatians 5:22-24) – Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, etc.
- Focuses on What is Good (Philippians 4:8) – Think about what is true, noble, and praiseworthy.
- A Wise Person is Blessed (Proverbs 3:13-14) – Wisdom is more valuable than silver or gold.
How Do Mistakes Help Us Gain Wisdom?
- Proverbs 3:11-12 – God disciplines those He loves.
- Proverbs 15:32 – Those who accept correction gain understanding.
- James 1:5 – When we make mistakes, we should ask God for wisdom.
- Proverbs 16:18 – Pride leads to destruction, but mistakes teach humility.
Why is it Important to Seek Advice from Wise People?
- Proverbs 11:14 – "Victory is won through many advisers."
- Proverbs 13:20 – "Walk with the wise and become wise."
- Proverbs 15:22 – "Plans fail for lack of counsel."
How Can Prayer and Studying the Bible Help Us Become Wiser?
The Bible is the primary source of wisdom (Hebrews 4:12). Prayer helps us seek God's guidance, and studying Scripture helps us understand His will.
Applying Wisdom in Life
1. How Can Wisdom Help in Difficult Situations?
- Wisdom helps us trust God and make righteous choices.
- Matthew 22:37-39 – Love God and others.
- Matthew 7:12 – Treat others as you want to be treated.
- Matthew 6:14-15 – Forgiveness.
- Fairness and avoiding favoritism.
- Making right decisions.
- Managing responsibilities well.
- Leading with integrity and love.
- Parable of the Talents – Stewarding our gifts wisely.
Final Thoughts
Wisdom is more than knowledge—it is applying God's truth in everyday life. It starts with the fear of the Lord, grows through prayer and study, and manifests in our choices and relationships. Seek wisdom, and you will be blessed!
Encouraging children to share their thoughts, listen to others, and reflect on real-life applications of wisdom will help them grow in faith and character.
We invite all families to make these discussions a regular part of their week. By fostering intentional conversations, we are building a foundation of faith, wisdom, and godly decision-making in our children.
Let’s grow in wisdom together!
