In The Laidlaw Loop

It was a BUSY two weeks full of all sorts of fun around Laidlaw. Included (but not limited to): classroom visits from Cody, an unexpected "build your own snowman competition," and an all school fun lunch with The Reptile Guy.

The excitement certainly won't stop in December! Make sure your kiddos rest up over the Thanksgiving Break this week as there are exciting happenings to come starting next week.

As we pause for the next few days to reflect on what we're grateful for....I can tell you that having the chance to lead at Laidlaw certainly tops my list. It is a joy to come to work every single day.

Interested 5th grade band members will be joining the McClure Pep Band on Monday, December 16 to perform at a boys basketball game. Please see Ms. Fiebrandt's email for details.

Ms. Messino is thrilled to present this year's winter concert to all Laidlaw families & guests on Thursday, December 12th. Families and guests are welcome to join us for either winter concert (9:30AM or 1:30PM). Please choose the time that works best for your scheduled. The exact same concert will be presented twice. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the start of each concert and all foot traffic will be directed to enter at the rear gym doors off the back parking lot. Please do not come to the front of school if you are joining for the concert itself. Enter through the gym directly. We ask that all students dress in their festive best on December 12th.

*A special thank you in advance to our PTO for generously funding a live accompanist for this year's concert.

This summer, the administrative team spent considerable time updating the Elementary School Handbook. Please do spend some time reviewing some of the important information regarding attendance, academics, behavior/discipline, technology, etc. The handbook can be found via the link above.

Gingerbread Night, Thursday, December 12th

Please help us make Gingerbread Night a success by volunteering! Options to help with set-up, during event and clean-up. Note clean-up is a great opportunity to get the dads involved as there's some heavy lifting with tables and chairs!

Bonus: if you sign up to volunteer at Gingerbread Night you will secure yourself a house before registration goes out to the rest of the school on Nov 19. This is huge as this event sells out fast!
