I hope you and your loved ones are doing well!
We had a wonderful time welcoming our students and parents during Meet Your Teacher & Open House this morning! Hopefully you and your student (s) felt the love, passion, and positive culture we have here at Coleman Middle School.
We are looking forward to a wonderful first day of school for our students next week!

FIRST DAY(S) OF SCHOOL:
SCHOOL HOURS AND ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL:
- School hours are 9:15 AM to 4:00 PM
- Please review Coleman MS procedures for arrival and dismissal on this LINK (With a video included for car riders).
- Students will report to the cafeteria upon arrival if they will have breakfast, otherwise, they will go to homeroom
INFORMATION FOR 7TH & 8TH GRADE DIGITAL DAY (8/3/20220)
- Classes will be asynchronous
- Full schedule will be posted for students on the student portal on Tuesday, 8/2/2022
- Log in to each of your teacher's eClass and access their Google Classroom there
- If you do not have a device, be sure you stop by next week to pick up one (See information about devices below)
ONE TO ONE DEVICE INFORMATION:
Starting this year, all students in GCPS will have a device that they can take home. Students at Coleman have have always had a device assigned to them, but this year they will start taking them home instead of keeping it at school. Our teachers and students are very savvy with technology. 6th Grade students will receive orientation during the first weeks of schools!
- 6th grade students will receive their device on their first day of school: August 3rd.
- 7th and 8th grade students will receive their devices ON their first day of school: August 4th
If your 7th or 8th grade student does not have a device to complete their digital work on August 3rd, you can bring them to the school to pick up their devices any of the following dates & times:
Monday 1-6 pm
Tuesday 8-12 pm

STUDENT PORTAL PASSWORD RESET
To access the student portal, your student will be required to type their numeric birthday in the password field using two digits for their birth month, two digits for their birthday, and four digits for their birth year. For example, if your student’s birth occurred on June 9, 2015, their reset password would be 06092015.

Starting this year, we all return to the regular procedures and payments for lunch at schools.

There is still time to complete your Summer 2022 Reading Challenge! Log the minutes you read in Beanstalk to earn prizes, including a ticket to the first Coleman Walk & Talk event of the 2022- 23 school year. The Summer Reading Challenge runs from May 15th – August 10th .

RECOMMENDED READING FOR ALL COLEMAN STUDENTS:
Our behavior expectation program is built around the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. We teach and reference these habits to help our students manage their behavior and interactions with peers and adults effectively. We also focus on one of the habits weekly for our weekly reward system!
