KEY PARENT INFORMATION for APRIL 1, 2024 (This is not April Fools:)
- For visuals of KEY PARENT/CAREGIVER INFORMATION for April 1, please see below link: 2023-2024 MSD - Updated IMMS/MHS Student Drop Off & Pick Up Zones - Exchange St. Construction Project
- April 1 to tentatively May 6, Exchange Street will be closed between Sleepy Hollow Drive and Highland Avenue resulting in no access to IMMS and CEPS from HWY 51 to Exchange Street. In other words, consider the bridge over the Yahara River on Exchange near Sleepy Hollow Drive closed to all traffic.
Here is how your child(ren) will travel to school between April 1 and tentatively April 22:
Parent/Caregiver Driven (April 1 to tentatively April 22):
- IMMS/MHS pick up and drop off:
IMMS/MHS Parents/caregivers can use the current drop zones during this period of time, however we do not suggest the use of the IMMS School Loop.
IMMS/MHS Parents/caregivers please use the drop off/pick up zone in front of the High School or use the drop off/pick up zone at the Pool/PAC loop off of Exchange Street during this period of time.
Additional IMMS/MHS Parent drop off/pick up zone will be in the MHS Athletic Parking Lot that is off of Burma Road. This area has been designated previously for buses only. We are relocating bus drop off/pick up to Burma and Farwell.
CEPS – No changes at this time. Parents will still be able to utilize current drop and pickup zones.
Bus Students (April 1 to tentatively April 22):
AM: IMMS/MHS Buses during this period of time will either drop at IMMS or at a NEW bus only drop zone that will be located on Farwell, just east of the Burma/Farwell intersection
PM: IMMS/MHS Buses will either pick up at IMMS or at a NEW bus only drop zone located on Burma or Farwell, just east of the Burma/Farwell intersection.
BUS Students will receive updates from NELSON’s Bus Service for route(s) that are affected for drop and pick zones.
CEPS – No changes at this time. Buses will utilize the same drop off and pick zones.
PLEASE note, all of Exchange Street is under construction, those within the work zone should proceed with caution and remain attentive. There may also be intermittent delays. SO…please be early, be patient, be courteous…… and happy construction season.

Health Services
Spring Break
With Spring Break right around the corner and families planning trips to warmer places, the Health Services Department felt it important to share that there is currently an outbreak of Measles in Broward County, FL (2 cases now reported in Chicago, Illinois as well). Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease that can be transmitted by direct contact with infectious droplets or by airborne spread when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. Measles is so contagious that up to 90% of people who are in close contact with the infected individual will also become infected if they do not already have immunity. However, full vaccination with the MMR vaccine provides about 97% protection against Measles. Detailed information such as signs and symptoms, treatment and prevention can be found on The Wisconsin Department of Health Services webpage. If you are unsure whether or not your child is up to date on their vaccinations, you can check their status through your healthcare provider or through WIR (Wisconsin Immunization Registry) using their name, date of birth and social security number. If you have specific questions for the MSD Health Services Department, please reach out to District Nurse, Stephanie Peplinski at peplins@mcfsd.org. Stay safe and enjoy Spring Break!
