Week in Review
Last week was a busy week like every week at KLS! Our counsellor was in town and helped support a wide range of art therapy activities with the students. Students engaged in lots of reading and writing activities to support their individual growth. We've seen some impressive gains made by students this year!
Students made a lovely gift for their mommies for Mother's Day using our sewing machines that we purchased this year. I hope the mommies love the item!
The weather has improved so we spent time outside exploring nature and enjoying the weather. We mapped out the track for track and field 100M and 200M runs and we started practicing for the standing leg jump and the running long jump. We have started to work on our archery targets and they should be done this coming week.
This Week...
We have confirmation from Aboriginal Games and they will be here on Thursday and Friday! Due to their arrival, we will have to postpone the Career Week plans till next week. They will work with our students in the afternoons on Thursday and Friday.
This week students will be writing the DSW a district standardized writing assessment. I am hopeful our students will do well.
Other than the above, we will be putting the archery targets up soon and we will continue to work towards success with our track and field activities.
