Eastview Update

Over the summer months you will receive an email notifying you to complete your student's back-to-school forms via your PowerSchool Parent Account.

All forms are to be completed prior to the first day of school. This is a one-stop shop for updating your child’s emergency and medical information as well as signing off on the annual permission forms for school district policies.

Bike to School Week will be May 28-31. Please think about riding your bike with your child that week. Please park your child’s bike in the designated grade level section. We will have signs posted by grade level that week. Students riding a bike will start being dismissed at 3:15 pm. so that we can help get the students riding bikes out safely.

Please Remember:

1. We ask that everyone wear a helmet.

2. We will park bikes in the front of the school. There will be signs posted separating grade levels.

3. We ask that you use all official crosswalks to cross Lear Road.

4. Bikes must be walked when entering school property.

5. Bikes should not be walked between parked cars, moving cars, or in front or behind buses.

6. Biker riders will be dismissed at 3:15 pm.

Field Day - Monday, June 3rd | Please consider volunteering to help with Field Day via the SignUp Genius link. Specific times are detailed below:

9:30-10:30 - Grades 3-4

1:45-2:45 - Grades K-2

If you would like to participate in the color assignments for the day, please have your student wear the color assigned to their grade:

Kindergarten - Blue

1st Grade - Red

2nd Grade - Green

3rd Grade - Orange

4th Grade - Yellow

IMPORTANT: Students will also be receiving popsicles at the end of their session. Please review the ingredient list, and if you would like to opt your child out of receiving a popsicle please contact Amy May at (216) 496-6342.

4th Grade Bridging Ceremony - Tuesday, June 4th | Bridging ceremony for current 4th grade students will take place at 1:45 in the front lawn.

PTA Potts Award | Every PTA within Avon Lake is asked to acknowledge a member who goes above and beyond. This year, Kiesha Ruth is the recipient from Eastview. In addition to being instrumental in coordinating the Carnival each year, Kiesha has also served as PTA President, Council Delegate, helped with numerous committees and is always seen volunteering her time. After 10 years of helping at Eastview, Kiesha will be moving on next year. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Thank you, Kiesha!
