HAPPY NEW YEAR! We will welcome students back on January 7. Make sure to set the alarm as we get back to our school routines. This semester ACE afterschool program will start on January 21st. More information will come from Ms. Noey. We are expecting some very cold weather this week. Please be sure to bundle up pay attention to any district announcements, if needed.

¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO! Daremos la bienvenida a los estudiantes nuevamente el 7 de enero. Asegúrese de poner la alarma cuando volvamos a nuestras rutinas escolares. Este semestre, el programa extraescolar de ACE comenzará el 21 de enero. La Sra. Noey le brindará más información. Esperamos un clima muy frío esta semana. Nominations for 2025 Awards are Now Open!

District staff, families, and the community are invited to submit a nomination for a campus staff member they believe represents the very best of Austin ISD.

The Salute Awards recognizes campus-based staff members in TEN categories. The winners will be celebrated at our Salute Awards ceremony, where we will also honor Teachers of Promise and Teachers of the Year.

Nominations will close January 15 at 5PM

All Austin ISD staff, students, family, and community members are invited to nominate Austin ISD staff members in the following categories:

Campus Clerical/Office Support Staff of the Year
Teaching Assistant of the Year
Custodial/Facilities Maintenance Staff of the Year
Transportation Staff of the Year
Food Service/Warehouse Staff of the Year
Campus Safety and Security Staff of the Year
Librarian of the Year
Counselor of the Year
Assistant Principal of the Year (Includes Academy Directors & Academic Deans)
Principal of the Year

Central Texas Food Bank - Social Services

The Central Texas Food Bank’s social services team is continuing to assist clients with applying for SNAP (along with Medicaid, TANF, Healthy Texas Women, Medicare Savings Program, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal). We offer help with applications remotely and on-site. Our offices are located at 6500 Metropolis Drive, Austin, Texas 78744.

For the safety of our staff and the community we serve, we have implemented social distancing models and can see a limited number of clients at one time on-site at the Food Bank. To get help with applications on-site, please call our hotline to make an appointment first at 855-366-3401.
