Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,

As we reach the end of another school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the remarkable achievements and growth we've experienced as a HSA- Pflugerville community. This year has been filled with hard work, dedication, and many memorable moments. Our students have shown tremendous resilience and commitment to their learning, and it has been inspiring to witness their progress. Parents and guardians, your unwavering support and involvement have been integral to our success, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership. To our exceptional staff, thank you for your passion and dedication to providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment.

As we close this chapter, I encourage everyone to take time this summer to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Use this break to pursue your passions and prepare for the exciting year ahead. Thank you for making this school year a memorable and successful one. We look forward to seeing you all on August 13th, the first day of the school, ready to embark on another year of learning and growth together.

We are proud of all of YOU! Let the new chapter begin!

During the last week of school, 8th graders built a car using a kit from Accelerate Learning/STEMscopes. Students used their engineering skills and their skills to follow directions while adding some imagination.

For the last six years, room 167 has been my home away from home. I’ve taught hundreds of students; many of them being siblings. From this, I’ve developed relationships with entire families and colleagues from all walks of life. My classroom has seen so many students come and go, but this year, it will see ME go. I love Harmony, I love my colleagues and students, but this will be my very last year. I have accepted an international teaching position which will require my family and I to relocate to Hungary in the European Union. As excited as I am for this incredible new journey, I’m also filled with sadness to be leaving the campus I’ve called home for so many years. To my colleagues: thank you for always being a team and supporting the collective endeavor to teach students and raise up young adults. To my admin: thank you for your unwavering support, and for always providing safety, respect, understanding, and fairness. And, finally, to my students: I absolutely love you all; those of you I currently teach, and those of you I taught years before. Every one of you that has walked through my door has been seen, heard, and loved for the individuals you are. Thank you for sharing your cultures and languages with me. I have learned just as much from you all as you have learned from me. You have all brought me laughter and joy (and lots of yummy snacks), and I feel so honored to have been your teacher. Do not stop learning; there’s no end to self-improvement. Continue to pour more respect and kindness into this world, and never stop seeking adventure. Love yourselves and each other, and everything else will fall into place. Keep your freshman year English teacher in mind from time to time. And, for the final time, PLEASE SIT DOWN (😝).

Dear Students and Families,

May your Summer be filled with:

--> a peaceful calm that another school year has been accomplished

--> time with toast most special to you

--> music, fun and laughter

--> moments that are simply all you want at that time

--> creating new memories

The days of Summer may be many but the time can fly by as fast as a Texas Mosquito on a mission. Enjoy your time together and thank you for your continued support.

It was an honor to be a new teacher here and I wish to all of you an amazing summer, enjoy your time and spend it with the people you care. I'll miss you all.

I'm so proud of my students and all of the hard work you have put in to making this year a success. Best wishes to you over the summer and I look forward to seeing you again next year!

Always be kind. And study abroad. Most of all, enjoy the moment and be present, you heard me say that all year! Finally, in the end, you are the only one that can decide how things go. Make good decisions!

Congratulations Class of 2024! I wish you guys the best of luck in everything you do, and most of all remember that the best of luck comes when you put in the hard work. I will miss many of you.

A special thank you to the Senior Committee who worked very hard all year to ensure that the senior class could have a memorable end of their year - you were one of the best teams I've ever worked with! Good luck and Godspeed:)

Dear Students,

As this school year end I would like to quote what Einstein said "Education is not learning of facts but training the mind how to think". I encourage you all keep learning and keep growing in life. You all are amazing. I am grateful for being your teacher.
