TUVA Quarter 1 Recap
Welcome back from Fall Break! As we reflect on our first quarter, we would like to thank you for being part of the TUVA family. We are continuing to work on our attendance - please help us by making sure teacher-led students are logging into class every day and participating actively. Self-scheduled students should be logging into each class each week and completing approximately 4-5 hours or work in each class each week.
We appreciate all who scheduled parent-teacher conferences and met with our teachers in September. If you would like to contact your scholar's teacher, the best way to reach them is through email. Please join us in the Help Desk if you need any support reaching a TUVA teacher.
If there is anything we can do to answer any of your questions, help guide you in the right direction, or provide any support, please visit us in our TUVA Zoom Office/Help Desk. Our administrative staff, office staff, counselors, student support specialists, and technical support team are there daily from 8:00-4:00 ready to provide a helping hand.
Attendance Matters!
Regular attendance and participation is critical for scholar success. We appreciate all of your efforts to help our scholars arrive on time and ready to learn!
TUVA Teacher Led Students are expected to participate actively in class. While we would love for students to have their cameras on throughout the class, we know there are times this is not possible. In the event a scholar is not able to turn on their camera, it must be evident that they are present and active. This could be demonstrated through voice participation, lesson engagement, or interaction in the chat.
Self-Scheduled Students need to log into their APEX courses in order to maintain those courses on their dashboard. It is recommended to spend 1 hour per day on each course, or approximately 5 hours per week on each course. Self-Scheduled teachers are available in the TUVA Zoom Help Desk to assist scholars with their work and assessments.
