FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Parents and Guardians
We just recently finished up our fall conferences, and it was a great opportunity to hear about your child, their strengths, and areas we want to continue to help them grow in throughout the year.
Recently, we were informed that all K-5 schools across Minnesota are required to send letters to families informing them if their child is in need of extra reading support. It will also share the
extra literacy support we have in place for your child at Isanti Primary School. We know our students are at the early stages of understanding how to read and write and these foundational years are so critical for ensuring your child will be a lifelong learner.
If you receive this letter, please note that this is a new mandate from the Minnesota Department of Education, and we are focused on supporting Every Student, Every Day, to reach their greatest potential. These letters will be provided after each testing session. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Take care,
Shane Dordal

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Halloween Parade
IPS will be having their annual Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 31st! If you do not want your child to participate, please let the teacher know and we will have an alternate spot for them.
Due to limited space, parents/families are unable to attend but all of our IPS classes will be watching!
Please have students bring their costumes with them in a bag to school that day. Students will change back into their clothes after the parade is done. We do not allow students to show blood, or have any weapons with their costumes. Remember that our audience is young children - costume choices should be primary school appropriate. Thank you for helping make this a spooktacular event for all!
Birth Certificates
If you haven't yet done so, please submit a copy of your child's birth certificate. This is used to provide proof of Child's Age and Legal Name so the information in our system is accurate.
You may email a copy to ips-communications@c-ischools.org or drop it off in the office.
Pick Up and Drop Off
Questions on pick up or drop off? This google presentation will help. If you are a returning parent it is the same as last year. After 7:30 a.m., please go to Door 1 so you can sign your child it since the tardy bell does ring at 7:35 a.m.

Physical Education Request
My name is Mr. Kubesh and I am the physical education teacher here at IPS. During the course of last year and now this year I have noticed many students coming to PE class with Crocs or Hey Dude shoes on. This is a safety concern in class, they tend to fall off, even with the rubber backing they have and the hey dudes are way too slippery and flimsy. If your student needs to borrow a pair of shoes, we do have a limited supply in the gym they may use, however they need to have a pair of socks on in order to use them. If you could please make sure they either wear shoes to school or at least bring a pair of socks with them that would help your student and myself greatly.
Thanks,
Mr. Kubesh
Health Office - Extra Clothes
At this age accidents and spills happen! When they do, it is nice for your child to have their own clothes to change into. Please always keep an extra pair of clothing in your child's backpack so that they can be comfortable in something that is familiar and fits them. Thank you!
