Kids Heart Challenge provides your student the opportunity to take care of their heart, possibly save a life with Hands Only CPR, and help others with sick hearts! We want each of our students to pledge to take care of their hearts – and minds.

Congratulations to Mr. Garcia’s 5th grade class for winning the Golden Skate Award! Mr. Garcia’s class had the most attendance at our Skate City Night last night. We hope you all had an awesome time skating!

Summer Bridge Invites (via email) went out to specific students on March 19th, 2024. If there is additional Summer Bridge availability we will inform parents.

To celebrate Bingo For Books on Thursday April 4th, King students are encouraged to dress like a book character.

Star testing is April 1-4th for 2nd - 5th grade.

CMAS testing is April 8-15 for 3rd - 5th graders. Please help support our state testing window by:

• not scheduling appointments during testing times
• arriving to school on time
• eating a healthy breakfast
• getting a good night's rest

Bingo for Books is coming up on April 4th!

If you have any new or gently used books that you would like to donate for Bingo for Books, please drop them off in the front office.

This summer Colorado will launch the Summer Electronic Benefit (SEBT) program. Eligible children at schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program will be able to receive $40 per eligible child during the summer months ($120 total maximum) to help reduce childhood hunger during the summer break.

Families will need to complete a Meal Application at this LINK to see if you qualify. If you have not already been Directly Certified by the state or filled out a Meal Application this school year, please apply. Eligible households who have already applied will not need to reapply to qualify for SEBT.

The deadline to qualify for SEBT is March 31st, 2024 which is a Sunday so please apply by March 27th. Make sure your contact and address information are updated in your parent portal and/or at your school.

Este verano, Colorado lanzará el programa Summer Electronic Benefit (SEBT). Los niños elegibles en las escuelas que participan en el Programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares podrán recibir $40 por niño elegible durante los meses de verano ($120 como máximo en total) para ayudar a reducir el hambre infantil durante las vacaciones de verano.

Las familias deberán completar una Solicitud de comidas en este ENLACE para ver si califican. Si aún no ha sido certificado directamente por el estado ni ha completado una Solicitud de comidas este año escolar, presente su solicitud. Los hogares elegibles que ya presentaron su solicitud no necesitarán volver a presentar su solicitud para calificar para SEBT.

La fecha límite para calificar para SEBT es el 31 de marzo de 2024, que es domingo, así que presente su solicitud antes del 27 de marzo. Asegúrese de que su información de contacto y dirección esté actualizada en su portal para padres y/o en su escuela.

Students who get dirty/muddy or have an "accident" often borrow clean clothes from our health room. We are always in need of gently used boys pants (in various sizes - especially sizes for our kindergarten and first graders)

The fourth and final SAC Training for the 2023-2024 School year is on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Tesla, room 116/129 and via Webex.

Some of the highlights that will be presented are:

• Screen Time/Social Media and mental health
• Vaping
• Cell phone discussion
• SAC Break-out Discussions

DEADLINE EXTENDED! Get your yearbook orders in soon! We have extended the deadline for yearbook orders until April 5th. We will not be able to accept any orders after this date.
