DROP-OFF/PICK-UP REMINDERS/CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
Hello Lineville Families!
Below are reminders and updates for using our drop-off/pick-up lane and parking lots before and after school. First, Spring has brought the return of road construction (we'll all appreciate this...someday!). Here are some updates for roundabout and road closures. Please remember that while this may not directly affect your route to/from Lineville, there will be an increase in traffic from other areas.
Second, attached are our how-to video for dropping off and picking up students. One update is that our crosswalk is now directly in front of Lineville and not at the roundabout. Thank you for driving slowly on Lineville road and showing your appreciation for our crossing guards! Also, thank you for being patient and understanding with the staff supervising students before and after school. We strongly encourage all students to be dropped off and picked up as far west of the flagpole as possible so as to keep traffic moving. Your children know the expectations and we appreciate your support in modeling this process with them.
If you have any questions, pleas don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to a positive, productive, and SAFE Spring with all of you!

NEW Donate Life Walk Registration
This year, with help from the NEW Donate Life Student Leadership Committee, we will be hosting our 13th annual NorthEast Wisconsin Donate Life Walk and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 12th. Our mission is to raise awareness for the need for organ donation. We do this through a walk and silent auction every April, which is National Donate Life month and we hope you can help!
Many people in our district have been affected by organ transplantation and donation. Gail Burant’s son, Ethan, had a life-saving liver transplant in 2010 and her dad, who passed away in March 2023, was a donor. Mary Swinford’s brother, Lonnie, who passed away at the early age of 39, was a donor. Eve Wozniak's husband Brent is also an organ recipient and current BP student Lauren Wolfe is an organ recipient. You can read their stories by clicking on their names or read them in person in our Gift of Life Garden Walk on Saturday April 12th, doors open 8am at Bay View Middle School.
Here are some ways that you might consider helping:
1. Register a team of family & friends to walk together on April 12th. Here is the link for registration: https://howard-suamicoschools.revtrak.net/bv/#/f/BV-NEW-Donate-Life-Walk
2. Like us on Facebook and share the information about the walk: https://www.facebook.com/newdonatelifewalk/
3. Donate a silent auction item(s). If you are able to do this, let us know at newdonatelife@gmail.com or contact Gail Burant at Bay View (gailbura@hssdschools.org ). If your family and friends own a business, and you think they might like to donate, our business donation letter is linked here.
4. Read more inspiring stories of hope of our past walk Grand Marshals here.
5. Share your own organ donation or transplantation story with us to be included in our Gift of Life Garden Walk. This can be an emotional task, so if you need assistance in telling your story, please notify us!
Whatever way you can help, we appreciate you!!
Thank you, Gail Burant & Mary Swinford

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
― Fred Rogers
THE GIVING TREE
We are excited to collect gently used band/orchestra instruments for students in need. Instruments will be donated to the District music department to support students who cannot afford instruments in all buildings to ensure they have access to participating in band or orchestra. If you would like a tax deduction for this donation, please email kourfeld@hssdschools.org to assist you in this donation process.
This month we are also collecting snacks for. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours. The Giving Tree appreciates the community support in helping ensure food is not a barrier to a student’s education.

The Giving Tree is excited to offer (in collaboration with Kindred Krafts by Katie) our very own t-shirt!
