Dear Rocket Families,
Join us tonight for our annual Spring Fling from 5:00-8:00, RAIN or SHINE! There will be lots of fun, food trucks, entertainment and more! This is an event you do not want to miss!
Next week we will honor our staff for Teacher Appreciation Week! Students are welcome to participate in optional "baseball themed" days to celebrate their teacher including:
- MVP Monday - Write a sweet note to a teacher about how wonderful they are.
- Team Tuesday - Wear your teacher's favorite team shirt or color.
- Win Wednesday - Bring in a choice of fruit or a beautiful flower to your teacher.
- Triple Play Thursday - Bring a sweet treat (snack, drink, candy) to your teacher.
- Fist Bump Friday - Give your teacher a High 5 or Fist Bump.
We can't wait to see you tonight! Below are several important updates from Peeples.

Media Center
Attention Readers! On Monday, May 13th, the library will be closed for the remainder of the year to complete inventory and to pack up materials to prepare for summer cleaning. All books are due on Monday, May 13th. Be sure you get all late books turned in ASAP.
Are you interested in some fun reading activities for your child(ren) over the summer? Check out the Media Center's Schoology page for reading activities and special events. New events will be added as they become available.
Chromebooks
As the school year ends, please be aware that students will keep their assigned Chromebook during the summer break. This will allow students to continue to use the web based resources provided by the Fayette County School System.
- If your child is moving to another school within Fayette County, including middle school or another elementary school, please take the device with you to the new school.
- Students who withdraw or no longer plan to attend a Fayette County School need to return the device, charger, and case to Peeples Elementary by Friday, May 17th.
- Click here for an important letter about summer Chromebook storage from Jim Farmer, Chief Technology Officer of Fayette County.
Safety Patrol 2024-2025
Do you have a rising 4th or 5th grade student that would like to SOAR as a Safety Patrol for the 2024-2025 school year? 4th and 5th grade students are eligible for Safety Patrol. Applications will be available Monday, May 6th from homeroom teachers and must be returned to Mrs. Wingfield, Room 5108, by Friday, May 10, 2024. Spots are limited so turn in your application on time!
