Homecoming Week 9/16-20/24
Picture Days!
- 9th-11th Graders will take pictures on Tuesday, 9-17 and Wednesday, 9-18. Students take photos during their English classes.
- Seniors take photos Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday via their English class.
- English teachers have been given schedules and will let students know their specific days.

LCU Chap Invite Results,
We had approximately 30 kids compete!
- Reese Pena won 1st Place for the Girls 3 Mile race!
- Zaylee and Carolina were both top 20!
- Together, as a team, the girls finished 2nd! ๐ฅ
- Arturo placed 3rd๐ฅ for the Boys 3 Mile race!
Way to go Echo!
High school art students from Lubbock ISD had the opportunity to submit mural designs for Complex Community FCUโs new branch. One of the tow winners is our very own Echo Ancell from Mrs. Beetler's class. Winners will have their art featured at the new branch as well as receive scholarships!
Mason Wittie Snags another Win!
Mason Wittie traveled to Grapevine this weekend and represented LHS so well! Mason placed 4th in POI and 5th in DI. The tournament had 88 schools from 15 states. Well done, Mason!

๐ Cap and Gown Packet
September 26th, 3rd period: Mandatory senior class meeting to get cap &
gown packet! Orders are placed early to save money.
Our cap & gowns were updated in 2022. Graduation regalia is regulated by
Lubbock ISD.
๐ Level-Change Requests
The level change request window will be open from September 3rd-September 27th. Request forms will be available on the lobby counter of both the counseling office and the main LHS office. These forms are for anyone seeking to move down a level in an advanced academic course. The course must have an on-level equivalent, and seats must be available in the on-level section.

Online Title I Meeting
Lubbock High School will hold an online Title I meeting on September 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM via Google Meets. An email with the meeting link was sent to every guardian on record. We look forward to your participation.
Speech & Debate Give Back Night
Mark your calendars for Sept 18 (ours read: no cooking tonight!)!
Our next giveback night is on September 18th from 5-9 pm at the Chipotle on Glenna Goodacre.

LHS Boys' Basketball Booster Merch!
We're excited to announce that we've added fall gear and customizable yard signs to the LHS Boys' Basketball Booster online merch store! To ensure you receive your items before the first game, please place your order by 10/11/24. The store will reopen for orders throughout the year, so you can shop whenever you'd like.
