Principal's Message
Dear Patterson Elementary School Community,
I hope this message finds you well and ready for the wonderful updates and achievements happening at our beloved school. It brings me great joy to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for consistently embodying our three PBIS rules: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.
Your commitment to these principles has created a positive and supportive environment, fostering a culture of excellence and cooperation within our school community. I am truly proud of the dedication and effort each student, teacher, and staff member puts into making Patterson Elementary a safe and nurturing place for everyone.
Now, onto some exciting news! Our Eagle Scouts, many of whom are former Patterson students, have embarked on a fantastic project – the construction of an outdoor classroom in the lower school area. This initiative not only enhances our learning spaces but also reflects the strong sense of community and connection that defines Patterson Elementary. We can't wait to see the finished product and express our deepest gratitude to the Eagle Scouts for their invaluable contribution.
In addition to this, I'm thrilled to announce that our garden classroom is halfway to completion! Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated custodian, Jason Albaquerque, a beautiful new wrap-around bench has been installed. This addition will undoubtedly enhance the outdoor learning experience for our students, creating a serene and inspiring environment.
As we continue to celebrate our achievements, I'd like to remind you that basketball games are set to start this week. Most games will take place right here at Patterson, providing an opportunity for our community to come together and cheer for our talented athletes. The first game against Oliveira is scheduled for this Wednesday at 3:30 – mark your calendars!
Additionally, keep your eyes on the front of the gymnasium, as our new Patterson signage will be going up soon. Our deepest thanks go out to Martin Smith, father of Elliot in Kindergarten, who did a truly professional-level job of cutting out the letters and mascot. These will be installed by the district carpenters, adding a wonderful touch to our school environment.
Lastly, I cordially invite you to join me and our guest speaker, Mrs. Best-Herbert, on January 23rd in Room 14 (The Patterson Flex Room). We will be presenting on emergency drills and discussing the procedures for picking up your child after an emergency. Your participation and input are highly valuable as we work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support and dedication to making Patterson Elementary an outstanding place for learning and growth. I look forward to our continued success and collaboration.
Best Regards,
Kristin Dil Principal Patterson Elementary School
