Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. Magan Davis
As a lifelong resident of Delaware and a proud product of its educational system, Magan S. Davis believes that the cornerstone of education is building positive relationships. She is an 8th-grade Special Education teacher at P.S. duPont Middle School, where she supports students in English Language Arts.
A first-generation college graduate, Magan earned her MBA from Wilmington University and spent 10 years in the finance industry before discovering her true calling in education. Driven by the desire to make a more meaningful impact, she pursued a Master's in Teaching from RELAY Graduate School of Education.
Since stepping into the classroom, Magan has consistently met students where they are, valued their perspectives, and set high expectations, believing in their potential to achieve greatness. Her dedication was recognized when she was named P.S. duPont Middle School Teacher of the Year for 2022-2023.
Outside of her educational career, Magan is a devoted wife, proud mother of two, and an active community servant through her involvement with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
P.S. duPont is fortunate to have amazing, impactful teachers like Mrs. Davis! Mrs. Davis, thank you for all that you do to help our students grow as learners in the Brandywine School District.
National Bullying Prevention Month!
October is National Bullying Prevention Month! P.S. duPont student artists were invited to create posters to spread the message of anti-bullying and promote inclusion, kindness and acceptance. Everyone who submitted a poster was placed into a drawing for a $25 Visa Gift Card. Thank you to all of our artists for their beautiful contributions to our Anti-Bullying Poster Contest! A special congratulations to our two random drawing winners - Aaron M. and Hellen Y.! We appreciate everyone’s contribution, and you can view their artwork, in person in the cafeteria and hallways or click here to view our digital gallery on our social media pages!
