📝 Note From MIT Parent Chair
Welcome Madrona Families to the 2024-2025 School Year!
My name is Anne Clement, and I am the new Madrona Integrated Team (MIT) Parent Chair, while I am new to this position I am not new to Madrona. My oldest child is entering his 9th and final year and my youngest is starting her 6th year at the school.
Over the past few years, change has been constant, and this year is no different: the addition of 6th to middle school classes, the loss of an intermediate center and a dedicated DHH & VI Program Manager, and a new MIT Parent Chair.
But through all these changes, there is no other community I would rather experience them with than this one! Our dedicated teachers and staff continually adapt with grace, and our remarkable community has consistently supported them and our students through every transition. Together, we will meet these changes with the same spirit of cooperation and resilience.
MIT thrives on your support—through volunteering, fundraising, and participation in school events. I look forward to seeing you at MIT meetings, in classrooms, and at school. Read on for ways to get involved and volunteer, and join us this week at the Back to School BBQ and Volunteer Fair on Thursday, August 29th from 4-6 pm.
Here’s to a fantastic year and GO BEARS!

Join us Monday morning, August 26th
Bring your students, they can help too!
We are in desperate need of you help weeding our school's garden beds. Over the summer, the weeds have overrun our beds and we could use you help getting them back into shape before students return to school this Fall.
If you have a pair of gloves, garden shears, OR just an enthusiastic outdoor attitude, please join us to clean our beds.
We are focusing on our main entryway, the Commons, and the Kindergarten play area. If we have enough people, we will clean the beds in front of our classrooms.

💰 Don't Leave Money on the Table
Employer volunteer hours match
Many do including Microsoft, Boing, Sales Force, and Verizon, does yours? If you don't know ask your HR to find out!
If your company does match for volunteer hours don't leave that money on the table! Log your hours and be sure to choose either Madrona school in Edmonds, or Madrona Integrated Teams, depending on the program.
There are so many volunteer opportunities over the next couple weeks, and throughout the schoolyear, help Madrona by doubling your impact by having your employer match your hours!
