Clackamas River Chinooks!
September 23, 2022
Good Afternoon Chinooks!
I apologize in advance, but this SMORE is long! And full of important information! Please read it at a time when you are able to take some notes and put things on the calendar.
1. Our First Fantastic Friday (REID day) was today. We had over 50 students attend and learn with us. Below are a few of the pictures of your students doing amazing things. Please check your email today to see if your student is invited to the next session on Friday, September 30.
2. Jog-A-Thon is coming! Next Thursday, September 29, we will circling the track to raise money for classrooms. We appreciate you working so hard to encourage those contributions. Please make sure your child wears the right shoes and brings a water bottle!
2. Spirit week and picture day are right around the corner. We kick off spirit week this year with Fancy Day on Monday, October 3rd. If you would like to order pictures, you can use the envelopes that have been sent home, or the link below. Here is the lineup for spirit week dress up!
Monday- Fancy Day
Tuesday- Socktober
Wednesday- Western Day
Thursday- Ranger and Chinook Day!
3. Our Family Breakfast is Back! On Wednesday, October 12th, we will be welcoming our 3rd-5th grade families to come sit down to breakfast with us. In order to give us an accurate headcount, we ask that you RSVP thru our Hometown Ticketing system. As with Back to School Night, this event is free for the family. This link can also take you to the sign up. The times for this free event are as follows:
3rd 7:40-8:10
4th 8:10-8:40
5th 8:40-9:10
Above you will find our "Kinder-5th Grade Device Plan". Please make sure to fill this out so we know what your technology needs will be this school year and during a virtual school day. While it seems early, we want to be prepared for the winter months and anything else that comes our way.
Finally, and maybe most importantly, above you will find our Student and Parent Handbook. This summer or leadership teams and staff worked to make sure this document best fit the needs of our students and community. While it is long, it is important that you know what we are expecting while your child is here with us at school. Please take the time to look through through this manuel and click on the link above to show your support and ask your questions. We want to make this the best year yet for our Chinooks.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sun!
Sincerely,
Christina Anderson
