Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1| WEEK 1| 7 FEB 2025
Dear Jesus,
We ask for your blessing on our school community.
Encircle us with your love and care.
Let our love for others guide our thoughts and actions.
Help Holy Rosary to be a place of sound learning and new discoveries.
Grant that those who belong, those who teach and those who
learn, will, like St Dominic, find you to be the source of truth
to be shared with all those we meet.
Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.
Dear Parents, Guardians, Friends, Students and Staff,
It is so lovely to see our school filled with smiling faces this week. I warmly welcome all of our new students and families to the Holy Rosary community. The positive and welcoming nature of everyone is very noticeable and special. Parents play an integral part in our children’s learning, and it was wonderful to see so many parents in the first few days of school, actively participating in our community.
I wish to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our former Principal, Mark de Kluyver, in building a welcoming, calm, and positive environment for our students.
As I move through each of our classrooms, it is clearly evident that our teachers and education assistants are truly Professional Educators who are well-prepared and creating a supportive environment for our students to flourish. This is a testament to the strong sense of community we have at Holy Rosary.
Your opinion matters, and in Week Three, we will be issuing a survey to all parents to understand what you love about Holy Rosary and what we can do to make our learning community even stronger. Your feedback is essential in helping us grow and improve together as a community.
Please attend the upcoming information sessions scheduled next week. These sessions are a great opportunity for us to come together, share insights, and strengthen our bonds as a school community.
Having been a Principal of schools in safe seats, it is interesting to note the extra attention that marginal seats receive in the run-up to an election. Catholic Education has a campaign for "fair funding" with particular attention to obtaining financial support from the State Government for capital projects, such as "Kindergartens."
The campaign aims to secure a commitment of $25 million in annual State Government Capital Grant Funding to ensure students in WA Catholic Schools have parity with other students across Australia. Further details are available at Fair Funding Campaign. https://fairfunding.cewa.edu.au/
May you have a wonderful weekend.
