A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff,
I'd like to thank you all for another wonderful year as the Principal at Boerne HS. It is an honor to hold this position; I do not take it lightly. It has been a successful year all the way around at Boerne HS, and I continually tell people it is because of our students, parents, community, and faculty/staff... it truly is the best in Texas! A big shout out to our students, teachers, and staff and everything they had to overcome this year. They have made me proud!
We have a short but busy week with Final Exams and Graduation. The Final Exam schedule is pictured below. Make sure your student is familiar with the schedule as these exams are important and do count to their semester average. Also, the end of our school day each day is different than normal. Graduation information has been going out the last few weeks, but also is still available below.
This will be the last "THE LEAD DOG" of the 2023-2024 school year, but I will periodically send out emails during the summer to update parents, students, and faculty/staff as needed, so please check your email over the summer. Congratulations, Boerne HS Class of 2024!!

- Congratulations to Owen Labay on placing 3rd at the UIL 4A State Tennis Tournament last week! Owen and his teammates had a great season!
- Baseball took the Regional Quarterfinals Championship in the 3rd round of the 4A UIL baseball playoffs last week. The Hounds won the first game last week on Thursday, 5-2, and then suffered a setback in the first game on Friday, 5-4. Immediately after the conclusion of that game, they played Game 3, in which they won a nail-biter in the last at-bat, 3-2. They upped their overall record to 28-9 on the year with the wins. This week, they will continue playoff action with a 3-game series versus Bishop in the Regional Semifinal round. All 3 games will be at a neutral site. Jourdanton HS, for Game 1 on Thursday, Game 2 will be Friday at Wolff Stadium, and if Game 3 is needed, it will be at Coastal Bend College on Saturday. Good luck, Hounds!
- Last Tuesday, the Class of 2024 Seniors organized and participated in "Senior Service Day 2024." Over 200 Boerne HS Seniors and about 20 Boerne HS Staff Members volunteered over 800 man-hours in our community. The locations they served were Hill Country Family Services, Guadalupe State Park, Cibolo Center for Conservation, Herff Farms, Cultivar Farms, and the Benedictine Montessori. We of proud of all our volunteers and their work!
- On Wednesday of last week, we had our annual Burger Bash celebration in conjunction with our "Working Wednesday." For Burger Bash, traditionally, during the last full week of school we have a "Mega Lunch" where all students and staff have one large, long lunch. It is sponsored by the Boerne HS PTO and they prepare and serve over 1,400 hamburgers along with chips, drinks, and cookies. We also have games and activities during this time. The meal is free and donated by the PTO. "Working Wednesday" also happens at the same time, and we have businesses and organizations from our community set up with booths. Most of them were looking for students to work in the summer. It is a great celebration to end an awesome year!
- Last Thursday, Seniors who wanted to were able to participate in a Boerne ISD "Senior Walk" at one of the elementary schools in the district. This is always a very cool event, not just for our Seniors, but for the students at the elementary schools, also. Our Seniors also enjoy seeing some of their teachers who are still teaching.
- Last Friday, we had our 19th Annual "Powder Puff" game between the Senior girls and the Junior girls at Boerne ISD Football Stadium. Although the Senior girls jumped out to an early lead, the Junior girls made some halftime adjustments and came away with the victory, 26-24.
