Hello everyone and welcome back from fall break! Biology and Earth Science students are beginning an extended project on Astrobiology and Extremophiles, and will be exploring the connections between biology, earth science, and astronomy! In doing so they will be conducting scientific research, synthesizing systematic research reviews, and then formulating and proposing a NASA mission to search for life in our solar system. I look forward to seeing how creative students get with their mission proposals!- Mr. Navarrette

Chemistry classes carved pumpkins today to prepare for the the BIG BANG on Friday when we blow up the Pumpkins! They have also begun their in-class chemistry experimental research project in which they must design and conduct their own chemistry experiment, research the information, write the lab report, and present it to the class in science fair format in December. Forensic Science continues to conduct crime scene investigations analyzing blood spatter patterns. Statistics is concluding their module on central tendencies with an analysis of colors in a bag of M&Ms and Skittles. They are working toward 85% in ALEKS before the end of the semester. Let's finish the semester strong! - Mrs. Trendelman
Statistics students are working hard on probabilities and working towards the ultimate goal of 85% by December. Their trailers will focus on thematic elements such as external conflict and forbidden love.
