WEEKLY THOUGHT:
"The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure. These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur." ~~V Lombardi

Cool Classrooms
The World History teachers created a gallery walk for students to showcase their learning on Muslim innovators and achievements during the Golden Age. This activity is part of a larger process to support students in answering the driving question for the unit: How did the beliefs of Islam impact the rights and responsibilities of the Muslim world? This group of social studies teachers provided a clear path of learning to their students. As part of the activity, students were given an opportunity to self reflect on their product as well as an opportunity to provide peer feedback
WMHS CLUBS
Student Council
Student Council will be hosting Spooktacular on Wednesday, October 23 from 4:30-6pm for all children 5th grade and under. The cost to attend the event is $2 and all proceeds made from this community event will be donated to our own WMHS food pantry, Zebra Hope.
Art Club
Art club collaborated with Marching Band for the second year in a row, this year making something massive! Marching band's theme this year is Dreambound. This the story of a dream world controlled by the Sandman! In this world, he traps individuals once they fall asleep with the help of his minions, lost in an eternal slumber as they relive the same nightmare over and over again, trapped in the Sandman’s eternal dream loop.
Art club went to work coming up with ideas on how to make this massive hourglass! Students came up with how we would create this piece out of cardboard, how to create supports, lots of trials and errors!
We had art club alumni come in on Fridays to help paper mache each half we made!
All of this was possible thanks to the hard work, dedication, and creativity of our Zebras! Mrs. Thomas is just oozing with zebra pride!
Also, thanks to Ms.Berry we had a CCS representative visit and talk to some of our students who are interested in attending CCS or any art school!

You must attend one of the goal setting meetings: either Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 2 - 2:45 or Friday, October 25, 2024 from 6:30 - 7:05 am. Meetings are in lecture hall.
