You Are Invited to Cafecito
Our first Cafecito (Coffee Time) Parent Day took place on Tuesday, October 1st! Parents gathered and had the opportunity to meet other parents, the school principal, community partners, and PTA members. Parents shared ideas and interests on topics and initiatives that they would like to see at Scott. Cafecito(Coffee Time) is open to all parents of Scott School and aims to offer a space where parents can voice their interests, provide feedback on school matters, engage in school projects, among other opportunities. Cafecito is offered the first Tuesday of each month. Our next Cafecito (Coffee Time) is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5th at 8:15am in Scott School Cafeteria.
Thank you parents , PTA, Pacific Refugee Support Group, PPS Migrant Program, Scott, SUN for the collaboration and making this event possible. We will see you all on November 5th!
Important Reminders with the Changing Seasons 🍂
As the seasons change, we often see students shedding layers, which can lead to misplaced clothing and coats. To help prevent this, please label all items with your child's name. This simple step can make a big difference in getting lost items back to their owners.
Additionally, our lost and found is filling up quickly. Please encourage your child to check it regularly for any missing items.
Parents who would like to check the lost and found, need to sign in at the office. The lost and found is kept in the cafeteria since that is the one place in the building all students visit daily.
Bike Safety 🚴🏻♂️
We are thrilled to announce that our 5th graders are participating in a Bike Safety program through the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). This engaging program teaches students essential bike safety skills and how to ride responsibly.
The program will culminate in a community bike ride, providing a fantastic opportunity for students to practice what they've learned in a fun and supportive environment.
