Donate your Solar Eclipse Glasses If You Are Not Keeping Them
Eclipse Glasses USA is collecting undamaged pairs for school-aged children in Latin America, which will experience an annular eclipse in October. While it's perfectly fine if the glasses are used, the company will only accept US-made paperboard glasses that have the manufacturer's address and contact information, according to its website. They must also have the ISO logo.
If you would like to donate your glasses please turn them into the office by Monday April 15 (end of the day). The office will be mailing them on Tuesday April 16th.

LMC Information and News
- BATTLE OF THE BLUESTEM is Wednesday, April 17 at 4:00 in the gym. Parents and siblings are invited to attend. Parents please enter directly into the gym, Door 4 starting at 3:45 firm. Students who are participating in the battle will stay at school and move right from their classroom to the gym to set up. Thank you for all of your support in our wonderful reading event.
- Exciting News! Last month Patterson, Clow and Graham hosted Lindsay Currie for our students in grades 3-5. They were able to purchase her new book The Mystery of Locked Rooms before the release date of April 4.
Just by coincidence I have a student whose parent works at Ms. Currie's publishing company along side Lindsay. "Her new book hit the New York Times bestseller list this week, and our school's events were a big part of that! The Patterson kids who bought books absolutely helped put her on the list. At a meeting this week Lindsay was so happy and was crying because she has never hit a bestseller list before!" WOW!!! Congratulations!
Katherine Applegate will be visiting our 2/3 graders in April virtually. I will be raffling off 10 Doggo and Pupper books to the grade levels! What an exciting opportunity!
Just a reminder regarding Chromebooks/Technology. Chromebooks are to be used for instructional purposes only. They are not for gaming, music, or any other outside activity. Thank you for reinforcing at home.
Happy Reading!

PE Roller Skating
It’s almost time! Roller skating will begin for a few classes on Monday, Aprill 22nd and continue for two weeks. Thank you so much for getting us the information needed to make this unit successful as we have 100% participation! Please have your students wear socks for the next two weeks or at least have socks they can keep in their bags. The week of April 22nd there are a few changes to the PE schedule to accommodate a 50 minute block to begin the unit so please make sure your student has a pair of socks available each and every day.
