Dear MHS Parents and Students,
Congratulations to our football team for a strong win over Bearden and continuing on in the playoffs! MHS is sponsoring a student pep bus for the next Friday game - see more information below. The meeting will last one hour, and students are required to remain in attendance for the full duration of the meeting.

Student Pep Bus
Maryville High School is providing a pep charter bus for MHS enrolled students who wish to attend the football playoff game this Friday, November 29, 2024 at Oakland HS. Maryville High School will cover the cost of the pep charter bus, but students will be responsible for purchasing their ticket on GoFan as well as food for the trip. As a school sponsored event, the student code of conduct will be enforced for the duration of the trip. The bus will leave MHS at 3pm, stop at Buc-ee's for food, and arrive at the game in time to cheer on the Rebels. We anticipate arriving back home around 1:30am.
We have 50 available seats for students.
If you want a seat on the bus the following steps must be followed:
- Stop by Student Services starting at 8am Monday, November 25th to get a parent permission form and to reserve a seat on the bus.
- Return the permission form by 3:30pm Tuesday, November 26th. At the time you turn in your permission form you must show proof of a purchased ticket on GoFan. You must have a purchased ticket before finalizing your seat on the bus.
- We will create a waitlist. Should anyone not submit their documents in time, we will contact the next student in line to join the bus.

Semi-finals will take place January 24th, finals will be held January 31st. We can't wait to see what you can do!
‘Tis the Season for Testing at MHS!
Parents and Students – As we enter the testing season at MHS, here are a few reminders to make these days great and productive!
- Limit check outs from December 2 – 13 if at all possible. Students are taking tests at different times through the day. Once a student starts a test, they must finish the test or void the grade.
- Make sure the laptop is charged each night. All tests are digital!
- Get a good night’s rest and be on time! Waiting to start a test until all students are present is not possible. The student will then have to miss class time to take the test on make-up day.
- Be positive and encourage your student to do well!
We appreciate your help and can’t wait to share our student successes!
Upcoming Meet & Greets as of 11/15/2024

STUDENT CHECK OUT PROCEDURES
Check-outs should be held to a minimum and are limited to the following:
Emergency - Decision to be made by the principal or assistant principals.
Prior arrangement - If a written request is received by officials in the student services office prior to the beginning of the school day, the student will be dismissed at the requested time. The checkout note must include the student’s full name, date, time of dismissal, phone number where parent/guardian can be reached for verification, and signature of the parent/guardian.
- The parent/guardian comes to the main entrance office to sign the student out.
Students who become sick during the school day must report to the assistant principal’s office/school nurse before they call home. The assistant principal’s office will assist the student and permit the student to call home. The student will remain in the assistant principal’s office or with the school nurse until he/she receives permission to go home or until he/she is picked up by a parent/guardian.
Students are allowed to check out during third block only for medical or legal purposes, and proper documentation must be provided. Students are not allowed to check out to retrieve items needed for school. Leaving school without permission will result in disciplinary action.
Students checking out of school on an altered schedule day will receive an unexcused absence unless the school is provided the appropriate legal or medical documentation.
