BRICKS 4 KIDZ - JURASSIC BRICK LAND
Grades K - 5
Each class is a fun and educational LEGO-building adventure with Bricks 4 Kidz. We use age-appropriate models for different levels of building skills. This hands-on class explores STEAM
concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) primarily using LEGO Bricks, in which children will develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a fun and engaging way. Even our youngest and newest students will learn how to make mechanical LEGO models that move and groove. As they advance in building skills, they’ll also motorize their weekly model for even more learning fun!

about to enter Jurassic Brick Land! Students will build a world that comes to life with the giant
Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, terrifying T. Rex, and more. We’ll learn about amazing
dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period, and other extinct, prehistoric animals that
roamed the earth and swam the seas during that era. Show us your building skills using our
specialized project kits! Come learn, build and play at Jurassic Brick Land class!

Broadway Bootcamp - Early Release Day
2nd - 6th Grade
Theme: Wickedly Wonderful!
Join us for an exciting one-day Broadway Bootcamp workshop! This dynamic program is designed to boost your self-confidence through the thrilling world of musical theatre performance. Discover your hidden talents and unleash your creativity in a safe and supportive environment. Throughout the day, you'll immerse yourself in the fundamentals of musical theatre, including acting, music, and movement. Our experienced facilitators will guide you as you learn the basics of performance and choreography. Then, with their expert assistance, you'll put it all together to create your own captivating scene, song, and dance from a popular Broadway show.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this high-energy workshop is for everyone. Through a variety of engaging games and exercises, you'll uncover your natural gifts and expand upon your talents. Our structured instruction will help you present what you've learned in a comfortable and confident manner. The primary goal of our one-day workshop is to cultivate a healthy interest in the performing arts. We aim to provide a supportive environment where you can recognize and develop your unique talents and self-expression. So, come and join us for an unforgettable day of Broadway Bootcamp and take your love for musical theatre to new heights! Performance at the end of the day is to take place at 5:30 p.m.

Pickleball Lessons
Beginner
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for those new to pickleball. You'll learn the essential skills, rules, and court positioning to play with confidence. We'll cover:
•Proper grip and basic strokes (forehand, backhand, dink)
•The non-volley zone ("kitchen") and scoring in doubles
•Fun and safe gameplay
Advanced Lessons
This class is designed for intermediate players who want to elevate their game. We'll focus on:
Refining strokes and improving consistency Advanced strategies for singles and doubles Shot placement, footwork, serve and return tactics
Strategic gameplay to compete at a higher level
•Proper grip and basic strokes (forehand, backhand, dink)
•The non-volley zone ("kitchen") and scoring in doubles
•Fun and safe gameplay
Please bring a paddle if you have one. There will be a few extra paddles you can use if you do not have one.

Tennis Lessons - Youth and Adult
Our tennis lessons are taught by Engage Sports Services, which has over 60 years of experience providing tennis instruction. Their certified staff will help get your child on the fast track to rallying and playing matches, all within a welcoming environment. Classes are custom tailored to each athlete’s individual needs.
Red Ball mini nets
(5-7 years old)
Our certified staff will focus on teaching proper stroke technique and basic motor skills needed to succeed in tennis. The fun environment will encourage your child to develop a love for the sport and make new friends. Join us for a 45 minute class that will have your child eager to come back for more.
Orange Ball shortened court
(8-10 years old)
Our certified staff will teach proper stroke technique and basic tactics of tennis, ensuring that your child is equipped with the skills they need to play the game. This session is designed for kids aged 8-10, and no prior experience is necessary. This program is a quick way for them to fall in love with the sport and develop a lifelong passion for tennis. Join us for a summer of fun on the court!
Green Ball, full court
(11-13 years old)
Our certified staff will provide a quick and fun environment where you'll learn proper stroke technique, tactics, and how to rally and play points. No experience is needed - just come ready to have fun and improve your tennis game!

AFTER SCHOOL PAINTING FUN!
This is a fun painting workshop where you explore your creativity! We'll be painting winter themed works or art that you get to choose! No experience needed, just eager to have fun and excited energy. Join the fun & paint with us!
Grades: 1 - 5
Cost: $25
Instructor: Kristal Heibel is a Grand Rapids native and artist passionate about painting and creating. I believe nurturing our creative outlet helps us connect with our true nature. It's fulfilling to be able to teach painting classes and create beauty together.

KIDZ NIGHT OUT! - LEGO - Star Wars
Do you love the Star Wars™ movies? Do you also love LEGO bricks? Join us for a fun night of building your favorite Star Wars™ and space-themed mosaic, 3-D, and technic models. We will have stations set up for you to enjoy all your favorite activities, including model building, perler beads, crafts, and creative play! We will provide pizza and fruit for dinner, and each participant will receive a Star Wars™ themed minifigure to keep!

46ers GIRLS VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE
4th - 6th grade girls
Introduce your child to the fun of volleyball! Our program focuses on fundamentals, teamwork, and having a great time. Get ready for four Thursday evenings of play! Teams will consist of 6-8 girls and a parent volunteer coach. T-shirts are included for all players!
For this program to be a complete success, volunteer parent coaches are needed.
- Coach Chenlo will email parents who volunteer to coach by Thursday, April 10th. This email will contain all league expectations. (Volunteer coaches will also be background-checked.)
- Girls will play on Thursday evenings: April 24, May 1, May 8, and May 15, from 6-7:30p.
- Each team (and volunteer coach) will be supplied with a t-shirt!
Minimum team requirement: 6, maximum 10
League Set Up: The first 30 minutes (6-6:30p) will be set up for warm-up time or drills directed by the parent volunteer coach. The next hour (6:30-7:30p) will be centered around playing. This format will include two sets of 21 OR a 20-minute timer. Whichever comes first (if the timer comes first, the score closest to 21 wins). Three matches are guaranteed each night.

LEARN TO SKATE/ROLLERBLADE
Ages 4 and up
Come join our roller skating and rollerblading class, where we teach your child the basics! They'll learn how to start, stop, maneuver forward and backward, balance on one foot, fall and get up safely, and even some techniques to improve their skills. We like to make learning fun, so we also play games like Dead Bug and the Hokey Pokey to apply newly learned skating skills.
Our instructors are highly qualified and Roller Skating Association certified, so you know they're in good hands. We provide roller skates, roller blades, or Fisher-Price skates, but feel free to bring your own too. Just make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in and get your skates or blades on. If your child can't skate independently yet, no worries.
We want each skater to improve their skating talent without relying on an aid, so we don't allow Skate-mate tools during this class. Let's hit the rink and have some fun!
Who: Boys & Girls ages 4 and up

Please arrive 20 minutes before the start of class so that your child has time to get their skates on.

Intro to HPS Competitive Robotics
We provide students the equipment and knowledge to compete in the world's largest robotics competition program.
Curious about the exciting world of competitive robotics? Join our two-evening course and dive into the hands-on experience of building, programming, and driving your very own robot!
Hudsonville Robotics uses competition to inspire innovation. Potential roboteers will explore technology while developing communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills. If their interest continues, additional courses will be available to further develop skills and prepare for the fall competition season. The classes will be a prerequisite for students interested in competing on a team in the fall.
Day 1: Explore control systems and entry-level build principles, and finish with an actual competition.
Day 2: Personalize your robot's controls, train it to drive autonomously, and put your programming skills to the test in another exciting competition.

BABYSITTING CLASS
Ages 10 - 15
In this popular babysitting class, your child will learn everything they need to know about caring for children, keeping them entertained, and ensuring their safety. The course includes a helpful workbook and a break for a tasty snack. It's a fun and informative way to prepare for your child's next babysitting job!

HOME ALONE CLASS
Ages 9 - 12
Are you wondering if your child is ready to spend time alone at home? We have just the thing for you! Our one-day class covers everything your child needs to know about staying safe, including answering the door or phone, first aid, fire safety, internet safety, gun safety, and stranger danger. We'll even provide a workbook for your child to take home. Plus, we'll make sure to give your child a short break to recharge and refuel with a snack. It's the perfect way to ensure your child is prepared and confident when staying home alone.

Scholarship Opportunity
Hudsonville Community Education aims to provide high-quality enrichment classes, recreational sports, and summer camps for everyone. We are proud to offer scholarships to members of the Hudsonville Public Schools community who are eligible for free or reduced lunch and reside within the boundaries of the Hudsonville Public School District.
- If your child is eligible for free lunches, you can be awarded one $50 scholarship per school year. (Maximum 1 per family)
- If your child is eligible for reduced lunches, you can be awarded one $25 scholarship per school year. (Maximum 1 per family)
There are a limited number of scholarships available. Submit application here
Scholarship contributions will allow us to continue offering scholarships to those who most need them. Make a donation to the Hudsonville Community Education Scholarship fund here. Thank you for your support!
