Message from Principal Wadkins
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful winter break. January will feel short as we quickly come to the end of the first semester. We have two full weeks of school before finals. Both of these weeks will feature Flex periods for your student to get extra support from their teachers. Please encourage your student to keep track of their assignments in Canvas and to utilize Flex. This week, Flex is on Wednesday and Thursday.
Tomorrow, January 7, the PPS school board will review the final bond obligation materials which will include high school modernization projects. I look forward to engaging with the community on our design process as we work to finalize the schematic design process. I will let you know when we will be hosting our next community design workshop.

Message from the IB Office
Welcome back, Warriors! We hope that you are feeling rejuvenated, and that the time away was restful. The deadline to drop an IB exam and receive a full refund (or avoid possible repayment fees) is this Friday, January 10th. Please complete this form and watch for a confirmation email if your student has decided to withdraw from any of their exams.
Senior IB Diploma candidates are finishing up their Extended Essay rough drafts in the next couple of weeks and gearing up for our Extended Essay Showcase on Wednesday, February 19th. Caring Closet Update
The Caring Closet offers clothing, shoes, school supplies, shelf-stable food, and hygiene items at no cost to students and is available to all CHS students in need.
We have been overwhelmed with all the generous donations recently. (Due to our small space and limited staffing, we are only able to accept new or gently used clothing that is washed, in style, free of stains, pet hair, and odors)
Please limit your donations to 15 items at a time.
We are currently only in need of the following items:
Clothing
- Winter jackets (Large - 3XL)
- Baggy pants
- Winter gloves
- Winter hats
- Winter boots
- Razors
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes

Please Donate Your Empty Jugs
We are collecting empty, clean gallon sized jugs.

Please bring jugs to the main office.
Thank you!
VOLUNTEER
Will You Be A Morning Campus Greeter?
Each school day between 8:45am-10:15am we need a morning campus greeter at the main doors on SE 26th. This is a great way to get involved at our school. This role is easy, but very important. You're there to welcome students and direct visitors arriving to the building after the school day begins.
Just click the button and pick a day that works best for you! Please make sure you have a current PPS volunteer background check on file to sign-up. If you have any question feel free to contact the school office anytime.
