Cloverdale families,
We just wrapped up trimester 1 and are heading into our second trimester. Report cards will be accessible on Friday through your parent account in teacher ease.
We have some wonderful things coming up, including American Education Week this week and our PBIS trimester 1 assembly on Tuesday, 11/26. We are also planning a fun talent show for our trimester 2 assembly in February! We hope many students participate in our talent show.

Congratulations to our November Howler Hero winners! Students are nominated by a staff member in the building for being respectful, responsible, and safe.
American Education Week
We are celebrating American Education Week with a reading themed spirit week this week! We hope all students can participate!
Work it Out Wednesday
Each Wednesday, we focus on different strategies students can use to when they are experiencing strong emotions and we call it "Work it Out Wednesday." This month, we are focusing on breathing strategies. Feel free to incorporate these at home with your children.
Donate to Personal Hygiene Product Drive Through 11/26!
We’re helping Bloomingdale and Carol Stream restock essential resources for families in need this holiday season. We are kicking off this drive tomorrow, November 18th. Please consider contributing any of the items listed here by November 26 if you can!

Vision and Hearing Screenings
DuPage County vision and hearing screenings will take place on Friday, November 22nd.
Students to be screened:
Kindergarten students--vision and hearing
1st grade students--hearing
2nd grade students--vision and hearing
3rd grade students--hearing
Students will not be screened if there is an eye exam on file with the exam date within the last 12 months. Additional students may be screened based on need or other circumstances. Please review this letter for more information.

Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots is being held at the ECC on December 14th. This is open to any Carol Stream family in need of toys for their children for seasonal gifts. Please review the images for more information.
PTA
We have our winter parties scheduled for 12/20 at 2:30 p.m. Our next school event is Friday, January 24th, and it is a winter fun fair! Be on the lookout for more information regarding volunteering for this event.
