The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
December 20th, 2024
Good Evening K9 Families,
What an incredible week we’ve had here at Wallin Oaks! There was so much joy and excitement as we wrapped up 2024.
Students enjoyed shopping for their loved ones at our wonderful Holiday Shop, and our winter parties were a huge hit with the bouncy obstacle course and time to play and connect with friends. A huge shoutout to our amazing PTA for organizing these two fantastic events—your hard work made this week so special!
We ended the week with our Holiday Hoopla, celebrating the winter season and recognizing our highest risers on iReady testing. Students with the most growth from fall to winter testing had the unforgettable opportunity to pie me and Ms. Helland—and it was a blast for everyone! The day was filled with fun classroom activities and a wonderful sense of connection before heading off into winter break.
We wish all of our families a winter break filled with family, friends, relaxation, and good laughs. Thank you for an incredible 2024—we can’t wait to see you in 2025!

Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
We kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones when dropping off students. Please be sure to pull into the designated car line to ensure a safe and smooth drop-off process for everyone. Following this procedure helps keep traffic flowing and ensures the safety of all students.
Additionally, please avoid pulling up to the front of the school before 8:30 a.m. Arriving early causes our preschool parents to get stuck in the car line. To help keep traffic flowing smoothly, please wait until after 8:30 before lining up to drop off students.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
