Monday (12/2) - Late start added –We met our Skechers Walk goal and hence earned an additional late start! We have scheduled this extra late start for Monday (12/2), the first day back from Thanksgiving break. Thank you to everyone that helped us meet the goal, this is a great fundraiser for PEF and the Friendship Foundation.

College Career Center Announcements
COLLEGE ADMISSIONS TESTING INFORMATION –
Join us Wednesday, November 13 at 6:30P in the CCC as Torsten Sanar of Compass Prep presents what you need to know about college admissions testing, answer questions you may have about the process and provide thoughtful information about the future of testing. Many schools remain test optional but what does that mean to the Class of 2026? Who should be taking the test, why? How do you determine which test to take, ACT v SAT? What are the changes the ACT is making to their test and when will it happen?
CLASS OF 2025
CSU and UC applications are due Monday, December 2nd. You should be working on these applications now in case you have questions. We are available to answer questions through November 22nd but will be closed and not available the week of the Thanksgiving holiday.

CAPITOL CONVOY APPLICATIONS DUE MONDAY
Out of all the school districts in California, PVPUSD is the only one to send students to Sacramento to advocate for issues that matter to them. Applications for the 2025 Capitol Convoy program are due NOW and may be accessed here. Deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 11 at 11:59 pm.
National English Honor Society
If you are a junior interested in applying to NEHS for next semester, ask your English teacher for the code to join the Teams site. All application information is available on Teams. The deadline to apply is December 9th.
PENINSULA MATH TEAM STARTS OFF BAY MATH LEAGUE COMPETITION STRONG
On Wednesday, October 23rd, 33 Math Team members competed in the first meet of Bay Math League (BML) against students from ten other Los Angeles County high schools at West High School. Each participant competed in three of five individual rounds (Angles, Equations including Absolute Value, Polynomial Functions including Complex Zeros, Limits, Number Theory) in addition to the team round. Peninsula Math Team had a remarkable performance, placing third in this meet, and only 1 point behind second place. Congratulations to the following best-scoring students from Peninsula:
