Egg Harbor Township High School
Week of January 26, 2025
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear EHTHS Families,
What an eventful week it has been at Egg Harbor Township High School!
Over the weekend, our JROTC cadets proudly participated in the Daughters of the American Revolution ceremony, showcasing their dedication and professionalism. Great job, cadets!
Our Pre-Apprenticeship in Career and Technical Education students had an exciting opportunity to tour Rowan University's Wind Turbine Lab. Guided by Dr. Sinha and his graduate student, Sunny, they explored the fascinating science of wind energy and renewable technologies.
A big congratulations to the Junior Class for winning Spirit Week! We are so proud of our students and staff for their enthusiastic participation—it’s amazing to see everyone embrace the EHTHS spirit!
Our Thespian Winter Showcase was a phenomenal display of the talent and passion of Thespian Troupe 3993. From character-filled duets to emotion-packed audition pieces, the performances were outstanding. Bravo to everyone involved!
Although our Unified team gave a strong performance, they faced a tough loss against Cedar Creek. A huge thank you to Coaches Ms. Olenik, Mr. Passante, Mr. Belinsky for officiating, Mr. Maturi for running the clock, and the PE staff, students, cheerleaders, and parents for making it such a memorable game.
Our Mock Trial team continues to shine this season and celebrated their amazing seniors on Tuesday night. While they faced a hard-fought loss to Mainland on Thursday, their dedication and hard work have been remarkable. They finished third in Atlantic County and are looking forward to their next competition in March.
In athletics, we celebrated our wrestling senior night with a big team win over Cedar Creek. On the basketball front, a special congratulations to Jake Karp, who was crowned the single-season assist leader after their victory over Hammonton. Meanwhile, Ady Elko continues to break records. This time, Ady smashed the 200 freestyle record set in 2006 with a time of 2:05.67 during her swim against Atlantic City. Amazing accomplishments by all athletes!

Staffulty of the Month
#DAY 1
The High School will be continuing with this bullying-prevention program for the 2024-25 school year!
#DAY1--a staff and student-led philosophy that will serve to foster a building-wide atmosphere of kindness and inclusion, outline expectations for behavior toward each other and the responsibility to intervene, report and to reach out for help if individuals observe bullying behavior.
This program was started a few years ago in Bergen County by the Tyler Clementi Foundation and has gained momentum throughout the state and country for use in schools, community groups, workplaces, and sports teams.
The premise is simple: the adults in the building make a “declaration statement” about behavior that is expected, as well as behavior that is unacceptable, and we all pledge to conduct ourselves accordingly.
This includes seeking help when we witness unacceptable behavior occurring--this notion is called being an Upstander--an #EHTUPSTANDER. Hit the play button below and see for yourself! 🤩
Has YOUR student taken their #Upstander Pledge yet?!?
Have them sign into their school account and click here! 😊
