Grandparent Mailing Addresses
Grandparents' Day comes in February this year, but we'd love to have a mailing address to get your child's grandparent an invitation to their mailbox (physical mailbox, not email). If you're unsure if we have your grandparent's mailing address, please send it to our Events and Fundraising Coordinator, Sarah Collins, at sarah.collins@siskiyouschool.org. Thank you!
Directory Ads - Advertise directly to our families!
A new directory is coming!
We'd love to have your business in the Siskiyou School directory! Directory ads are printed in black and white in the back section of the directory. Ads are:
- $10 for ¼ page (about business card size)
- $20 for ½ page (about 5x8.5)
- $50 for a full page (8.5x11)
All we need from you is a high-quality jpg, png, or pdf file of your business logo (or a logo and some short text) and we can add it to the directory. We can put in any file really, it's just a matter of how crisp it turns out. Ads and payment are due by Friday, September 13th. Send to kristin.beers@siskiyouschool.org.
Attendance Voicemail Box
If your child will be absent, please use the attendance voicemail box by calling the main office line and extension 14 when prompted (541-482-8223, ext. 14). Please leave a detailed message with your name, your phone number, the day you called, and the reason for your child’s absence. If illness related, please give detailed symptoms and note kids can return to school after 24 hours well. Absences will be relayed to teachers via Office Manager, Ajeet Napier. Thank you.
Visitors to Campus
We strive to keep our children and faculty safe. With new faculty, staff, and students even if you're a long-time volunteer we may have people that don't know you and why you are on our campus. Please help us out!
If you come onto campus:
- Enter through the main building.
- Stop by the reception area and check in (sign in on the visitor sheet).
- Get a visitor lanyard.
This protocol is not to make our parents feel unwelcome, but to keep track of everyone on campus and with our children. Thank you!
Hot Weather Ahead
There are warm days ahead of us! Temperatures are forecasted to rise to near 100 degrees in the next couple of days. While our classrooms do have air conditioning, students will still be outside and active.
Please remember to pack your child off to school with a full water bottle, sun protection, and a sun hat.
Nanny Wanted
Seeking a part-time nanny starting September 16th for 10-20 hours a week to care for a 3-month-old infant. The schedule is flexible and may be adjusted as needed. Ideal for someone with infant care experience who is reliable and nurturing. Please contact Wayne @ (310) 295-7733 if interested.
Carpool Help Request (in Ashland)
Dear Siskiyou Community,
I am seeking a ride share for my 5th grade daughter to get to school… especially perhaps during cold, wet, wintery times. I teach in White City and need to leave for work early. We have backup plans, but hoping for multiple options. We just moved to lower Helman and would love to find a family who lives near us who could help with Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Please reach out directly to me if this is something you would consider. 541-244-0391
Sincerely, Tyler Hawkins
