Dear Northridge High School Community,
This week at Northridge High School, we're thrilled to celebrate some remarkable achievements!
We extend congratulations to Carli Engel for earning the title of 2024 Outstanding New Professional for CATFACS (Colorado Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences). This is a testament to her dedication and influence on our students.
Also, cheers to our Unified Basketball team for their outstanding performance and victory, showcasing the true spirit of the Grizzlies. Additionally, a heartfelt thank you to the enthusiastic students and families who consistently support our athletes at every game.
Don’t forget: We have our parent-teacher conference on February 7th, and we’ll have informational sessions regarding college and career transitions for our seniors at 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
And finally, I know our students are looking forward to a three-day weekend while our staff complete professional development this coming Monday. We’re looking forward to seeing the students back at school on Tuesday!

Important Concurrent Enrollment Information!
Concurrent enrollment is an opportunity for students to take college-level courses offered at high school or on the Aims/UNC campuses. Students will earn both college and high school credits at no cost to families. Concurrent enrollment classes include post-secondary general transfer courses and/or Career and Technical Education pathway courses.
The first step for students interested in taking Concurrent Enrollment courses is to complete the Concurrent Enrollment Intent to Participate Student Application on or before April 1, 2024, to be eligible to take concurrent enrollment classes in Fall 2024. The Intent to Participate may be found on the school website. Upon completion of the Intent to Participate, D6 support staff, counselors, and Aims/UNC staff will host application days at the high schools for students to receive support in completing the post-secondary application and class registration. For more information please visit www.greeleyschools.org and from the homepage click the concurrent enrollment button.

D6 STUDENTS TO RECEIVE SCHOOL MEALS AT NO COST THIS SCHOOL YEAR.
Greeley-Evans School District 6 is excited to announce the participation in the Healthy School Meals for All program for breakfast and lunch. This means that all D6 students may eat school breakfast & lunch at no cost!
What does this mean for you?
Families, you no longer have to worry about filling out lengthy applications to qualify for free school meals. Every child in our 30+ schools across the Greeley-Evans community will automatically receive this incredible benefit, without needing to complete an application or other additional steps.
D6 School Benefits Application
While all students will receive meals at no cost, it is important for households to provide income information through the D6 School Benefits Application. This information is crucial for D6 to maintain full access to state and federal funding that supports school programs, after-school activities, and other benefits.
Additionally, qualifying households may have their school & athletic fees waived for the 2023-24 school year.
Let's Work Together
We believe that this program's success lies in collaboration between our school district and you, the parents. We encourage you to support and guide your children in making the most of this opportunity. We believe that healthy eating habits are best developed with your involvement, and together, we can empower our students to thrive.
Taking Advantage of Free School Meals
We strongly encourage all families to take full advantage of this opportunity for their children. Not only do free school meals help alleviate financial burdens, but they will also help in promoting a healthier and more focused learning environment for our students to thrive and succeed.
You can stay informed about the meals being offered at your child's school by viewing their menu & nutritional information. This will provide you with a detailed look at the delicious and nutritious meals prepared by our talented school nutrition team.
Simply use the filter options to select your student's school & type of menu.
Promoting Healthy Eating Habits
Greeley-Evans School District 6 Nutrition Services is committed to promoting healthy eating habits among our students. By providing free school meals, we aim to ensure that every child has access to nutritious food options that contribute to their overall well-being and academic success.
DISTRICT 6 IS PLEASED TO WELCOME VOLUNTEERS BACK INTO OUR BUILDINGS.
