Maintaining the Wildcat Edge

Over the past year, we have continued the facilities assessment we’ve been reviewing since 2022. In order to elevate these assessments, we brought in an outside partner that was able to get industry experts to review every inch of our District, provide summaries through an almost 400 page facility assessment, and provide a path to strategically addressing aged buildings and resources for the next 15 to 20 years. From this work, the Board spent time looking at every aspect, collecting feedback from community members, families, and internal stakeholders, and arriving at a plan that our community survey validates that there is community support for our efforts.
This spring, we will ask our voters to support a $63,710,000 Bond to address long overdue issues with deferred maintenance (roofs, pipes and plumbing, mechanical and electrical, etc.) as well as safety improvements in our facilities. Click here to visit our bond website that details all of our projects, the needs, and the plan to address them for the next 15 to 20 years and beyond. Please visit our website and learn more about the needs we have in our community and how the bond will support these efforts. Beyond this, you will hear more about our Bond campaign in the coming months through presentations, site visits/open houses, and other outreach so you get a clear picture of our needs and why we need to invest in our current facilities to ensure a safe and fiscally responsible solution for our future.
If you have questions, please email us at referenduminfo@isd2144.org.
Thank you up front for your support and belief in Chisago Lakes Schools. We are excited to work with you to address these issues for generations to come.
