TigerScot Times - Back-to-School

Hello TigerScots, we hope that you are enjoying your summer! It is getting close to the beginning of the school year. Letters with more information and forms will be arriving at home shortly.

Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am until 4:00 pm for any form drop-offs.

Here are some things that you will need to know to be prepared for a great year:

School Registration

• Mark your calendar for our Registration Back-to-School Barbeque on Wednesday, August 28th from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.

• Plan to stop by with your student so that the mailed Registration Forms are returned. Please make checks payable to Weston-McEwen High School.

• Students can also pick up their schedule, be assigned a Chromebook, and select a locker.

• Come down for a campus tour and meet the staff!

First Day of School

• We are excited to welcome students back on September 3rd.

• School starts at 8:00 am Monday through Friday this year; dismissal is at 3:14 pm Monday through Thursday with an early release on Friday.

  • The new Friday schedule has lunch beginning at 12:30 pm with buses leaving at 1:15 pm.

  • Academic support is available from 1:00 - 3:00 pm for students with failing grades and needing makeup testing or work time beginning September 20th. Students on the SOS list are expected to attend.

  • Teacher office hours are scheduled for 1:00 - 1:30 pm for student support on Fridays.

• Fall sports practice starts August 19th.

• All forms and a valid physical exam must be on file before a student can participate in practice. Forms and contacts can be found on our Sports Forms page.

• Physicals are good for two years and must be on the OSAA form.

September 3: Practice will begin right after school
