We are having attendance challenges that will be kicking off next week. Each grade level will be competing. Challenges will alternate between weekly attendance and tardies per grade level. A friendly reminder that the school day starts at 8:35 and the tardy bell rings at 8:40.

Not only is Tioga a commendable school, but we are closer to exemplary than we were a year ago!

The Illinois State Board of Education annually releases school report cards that show how each school, each district and the state is performing on a wide range of educational goals. The report cards contain information about student academic growth and achievement, student and teacher demographics, enrollment, district-level financial information and information from the Illinois 5Essentials Survey.

We are incredibly appreciative of each and every family that joined us for parent-teacher conferences. Building our shared partnership and communication is a huge aspect of how we support your child in continuing to learn and grow.

Please continue to reach out to your child's teacher and respond back to your child's teacher through phone, email, and SeeSaw to keep the lines of communication open.

As the weather begins to turn colder, it is important to send your child to school with the appropriate clothing for outdoor recess.

Elementary students typically have outdoor recess for 20 minutes a day when the temperature, including wind chill, is 15 or above. Please make sure they have a warm coat, scarf, gloves, and boots.

Giving thanks is a major theme for the month of November. At Tioga, there is a lot to be thankful for and we want to invite all students and families to thank a staff member during the week of November 18th.

Students and families are encouraged to send a staff member a picture, note, or SeeSaw message that shares thanks.

As a reminder, Tioga's bus lane (front drive off Memorial) and staff parking lot (off Mason) are closed to parent pick-up and drop-off during arrival and dismissal. This is especially important as we have seen a number of families attempt to utilize the bus lane to pick up their children. Not following Tioga's safety procedures creates a less safe environment for pedestrian traffic and slows down the arrival/dismissal process for all families.
