Information about Touch screens
How do Touch Screens work?
Unlike resistive touch screens, capacitivescreens do not use the pressure of your finger to create a change in the flow of electricity. Instead, they work with anything that holds an electrical charge – including human skin.

Fun facts
When do you think touchscreen technology was invented? 10 years ago, or perhaps 20? Try 40 years ago. Yep, way back in 1971, the first “Touch Sensor” was developed by Doctor Sam Hurst while he was an instructor at the University of Kentucky. In 1977, his company Elographics developed and patented five-wire resistive technology, the most popular touchscreen technology in use today.
Who invented touch screens
Although capacitive touchscreens were designed first, they were eclipsed in the early years of touch by resistive touchscreens. American inventor Dr. G. Samuel Hurst developed resistive touchscreens almost accidentally.
