Congrats Noiva Cloy for being named JUHSD's Student of the Month for March! 🥳
Noiva thanked his friends, teachers, and family for helping him grow into the person he is today.
"I just owe a massive thanks to my friends and teachers, my teachers especially. My teachers have given me many opportunities to grow and just to show them who I could be, the type of person I could be.
Even though most of my family couldn't be here today, I want to thank them as well because they play probably the biggest role in the person I am today."

Every family should have a Family Preparedness Plan in case of an emergency. It is critical for immigrant families to think ahead and set more concrete plans for immigration emergencies that can arise. See the Immigrant Legal Resource Center's Family Preparedness Plan:

Welcoming Mr. Zou as Principal at Westmoor High School 🎉
Mr. Zou first joined JUHSD as Vice Principal of Westmoor High School in July 2022 and began serving as Interim Principal of Westmoor High School during the 2024-2025 school year.
Prior to joining JUHSD, Mr. Zou served the field of education as an English Teacher, Co-Teacher and Instructional coach at Burton High School in the San Francisco Unified School District.
Mr. Zou has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a deep commitment to equity. His extensive experience in education, combined with his commitment to student success and staff collaboration, makes him a strong and inspiring leader for our school.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Zou to this new role and Westmoor's future under his leadership. Go Rams!

"I want to thank, obviously, Ms. Presta for taking me to Chicago all those months ago and bullying me into this position because I would not be in this position at all in the first place if you hadn't planted that idea in my head.
My mom definitely has been my biggest advocate since day one and she continues to push me and see things in me that I really have yet to see in myself and I'm thankful for that every day.
My development up until now as a leader, my work up until now at Westmoor has wholly been dependent on [Mrs. Yee, Dr. He, and Dr. Nagy] as well. I'm very, very thankful for their labor, for the trust that they have put in me as well.
[Westmoor] is the best place to be a school leader in. Honestly, I couldn't imagine a better place to work in, a better school to lead with these kids. They make it easy to love them, they make it easy to care for them."
In the days to come, I hope that I can see some of the things that many of you have said so far that you already see in me. I hope that I can see those things too one day."
