Dear Parents and Guardians,

Quarter 2 report cards will be available for viewing on January 27.

This feature not only allows you to view the most current report card, but it also provides you with the ability to track historical report cards, so you can easily follow your child’s academic journey over time.

To get started, simply log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal using your existing credentials. Once you log into PowerSchool, simply click on Report Cards on the left side of your screen. You will be able to print report cards directly from that point.

The Lancaster Classic was a great experience shooting with over 3,000 archers from 49 states and 20 countries. Lily Baca, 6th grader at Troy Intermediate, finished 4th in her division! She set a personal high score for this game and left with making new friends, connecting with industry reps, and professional shooters- giving her valuable insight on how to improve.

AVON LAKE PTA COUNCIL- SEEKING BOARD VOLUNTEERS

Avon Lake PTA Council is comprised of its own Executive Board which works with representatives from all of the Avon Lake PTA units and the Avon Lake School District to share ideas, help work as a medium to address challenges faced by the units and the district in addition to being a liaison with Ohio and National PTA.

PTA Council is seeking volunteers to serve on its Executive Board for the 2025-2026 school year. Open positions include Treasurer, Secretary, VP Fundraising, VP President Elect and Scholarship Chair. Meetings are held roughly 4 times during the school year. Scope of responsibilities is much less time-consuming than at the individual units and our Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent attends our meetings. One requirement to serve is that you must be a member of one of the Avon Lake PTA units.

The Harlem Wizards are coming to Avon Lake!

Mark your calendars for a night of hoops, hilarity and heartfelt support. The Harlem Wizards are coming to Avon Lake High School on February 17 .

The Wizards will face a team of local “hometown heroes” - including teachers, staff and coaches from Avon Lake, St. Joe's and St. Raphael's - in an evening filled with laughter, excitement and show-stopping moves.

This family-friendly event is perfect for parents, grandparents and kids from Avon Lake and beyond. The game starts at 7 pm, but doors will open at 5:30 pm for a pre-game community festival.

As the weather starts to get cold please be sure that students are coming to school prepared to go outside if the temperature and wind chill factor is above 20 degrees Fahrenheit. We will monitor the conditions daily.

Report an Absence:

If your child will be absent from school, please remember to email Christine.klein@alcsoh.org or call (440) 930-8297.

When reporting an absence please give the student’s name, homeroom and reason for the absence.

Please be advised that any forms requiring completion by a teacher for a doctor must be submitted to our Guidance Department. They will ensure the forms are distributed to the appropriate teachers, and we will fax all completed forms back to the doctor's office.
