Kindergarten Information Night
A Note from Dr. Peterson
Welcome to the Avery Family!
We are so excited to meet and get to know you and your child(ren). We know transitioning from preschool to Kindergarten can be both exciting and also a bit unnerving. Our hope is that this communication helps guide you to necessary information and links in order to assist in this transitional time.
Please know we are here every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition for both the incoming Kindergarten students and also for you!
Thank you,
Hannah Peterson, Ed.D.

Class Placement
Flexible classroom placement means that each student will rotate through each of three Kindergarten classrooms, in a variety of groups, with each of the kindergarten teachers. Eventually, students will spend time with each teacher and all students during the first six days of school. This will allow our team of educators to get to know each child, socially, emotionally, and academically so that they are placed in class groups that best support on another for the duration of the school year.
We will send more information out about flexible classroom placement in the coming months.
Jumpstart Conferences
We will host Jumpstart Conferences in August. These conferences allow guardians the opportunity to tell the classroom teacher all about their child. It will allow for an instant connection and information gathering for teachers and families. More information will be sent to you when these events draw nearer.
