Need to Know

Please, please, please make a plan with your Hellstern student to charge his/her chromebook. A charged Chromebook will last for several days if it is being used for only school work. Therefore, if the Chromebook gets charged nightly - they will always have it and be ready to learn in every class.
On the topic of Chromebooks, we will collect devices on November 22nd. Students will then get devices back on December 2nd.
Automated emails went out this past week with information to access your child's ATLAS test results. The interim test data is in the portal. You can change a drop-down menu to the 2023-2024 school year and see the summative test data from last year, in other words, the "big test" we give in the spring.

ELA 6 -What are the parts of a Narrative Diamond? For your narrative assignment, what was your story about?

ELA 7 -How does an author develop the main idea in a nonfiction text?

BAND -How was your first full band rehearsal on Friday? What do you need to do to prepare for your concert (Nov. 19)?

Art 7: What part of your self portrait are you working on currently?

Stagecraft: What prop are you currently working on? What will it be used for in the musical?

Cause and Effect Comic Strips - Events Leading to the American Revolution

7th grade Explorer students created comic strips in social studies to show the causes leading to the American Revolution. After student voting, Joanna Bagley's comic was chosen as the winner. Also included are other top scorers.

Teachers are Heroes too!

Two of our very own were recognized by HBHS seniors for being a teacher having a great impact in their K-12 school experience! Rowan Graham chose Mrs. Heather Firth (Art) and Marc Poulin chose Mrs. Traci Rhoades (7th Math) to wear their jerseys at the HBHS football game on November 8th. These two students came over on Tuesday to thank their teachers and invite them to the game.

Congrats to the Springdale Trailblazers!

Our Hellstern Heroes competed at the state mountain biking competition a few weeks ago. These students had a great season! Shout out to Carter Jones, who placed first in his division!

Camp War Eagle

WHAT: Camp War Eagle, a premier summer camp located on Beaver Lake in Rogers, Arkansas. Each summer we serve thousands of children and teenagers from Northwest Arkansas. Click HERE for a fun video to see some activities!
