Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
As we kick off our week-long Thanksgiving Break, I wanted to share with you a few things that I’m thankful for as the Superintendent of Loveland City School District.
We are in a fantastic community. We are incredibly fortunate to be in Loveland. Other school districts in other communities could only dream of the level of support our students receive.
We have awesome students and families. Loveland achieves great things academically, and we are among the top school districts in Ohio. That’s only possible because parents and families send us amazing students and then support those students at home.
We have a great staff. Every day from August to May, our staff is all-in for kids. The custodians who keep our buildings looking great, the bus drivers who get our kids to school, the cafeteria workers who feed them, the teachers and aides who make magic happen in the classroom, and our administrators who support it all - we wouldn’t #beLOVEland without them.
I hope you’re thankful for your family’s experience in Loveland City Schools because I’m very thankful to lead this great district.
If you have questions, you can always reach me at mikebroadwater@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Pass-It-On Food Drive
Thank you to everyone who contributed to another successful Pass-It-On Food Drive! Loveland City School District has been helping local families in need with Pass-It-On for 23 years.
Food donated during Pass-It-On helps support LIFE Food Pantry as they create Thanksgiving and holiday food baskets for 300 local families. Students, families, and staff donate food then assemble and distribute food baskets.
The snow this week led to some changes. Instead of walking donations to Prince of Peace Church, students at Loveland Intermediate and Middle School packed school buses and volunteers' cars with donated food items. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to keep this awesome tradition going for our students and the community!
Tigers Inc. Students “Rally for the Tally” for LIFE Food Pantry
Loveland High School students in our Tigers Inc. program wrapped up a successful food drive for LIFE Food Pantry. “Rally for the Tally” collected canned goods and funds for LIFE, which supports families in Loveland and the surrounding areas. Jarvis Global Investments supported the cause by donating several dozen cases of canned goods. Students organized fundraising events, sold raffle tickets, and got hands-on experience in marketing by promoting the event. Students raised more than $1,200 and collected more than 3000 cans. Thank you to our Tigers Inc. students and everyone who donated!
Science and Innovation Expo
This year, Loveland will host our first-ever Science and Innovation Expo! The event will take place on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 9 am to 12 pm at Loveland High School. This day is an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the amazing learning that happens around Loveland! The Science and Innovation Expo is a one-day event that gives students two pathways to choose from: a Science Expo and an Innovation Expo.
For more information about each pathway, click here to watch a video or read the brief description below:
Here is more information about each pathway:
The Science Expo is a traditional science fair where students have the opportunity to conduct a scientific research project or engineering design project and present their findings to their peers and community judges, with the opportunity to qualify for Regional Science Day at the University of Cincinnati, called the Science and Engineering Expo. If students achieve well at UC, they have the opportunity to qualify for State Science Day at Ohio State University. This pathway is open to students in grades 5-12 who can present individually or in groups of up to three.
The Innovation Expo is an open-ended opportunity for students to identify a problem and solve it with something they will create or to simply create and share something creative, inventive, or innovative. Some ideas may be a DIY craft, coding/computer science project, an engineering creation, or anything else in which your child creates something to share! This pathway is open to all students grades PreK-12, and community judges will provide informal feedback about the strengths of each project, as well as areas to grow. Students can participate individually or in groups of up to three.
To learn more details about the event, how to submit a project, project ideas, and project requirements, visit Loveland's website at https://lovelandschools.org/expo.
For any questions, please reach out to innovation@lovelandschools.org. We hope to see you on February 1st!
