We will rehearse our music for fall, play games, eat pizza, and have a great time! All students in Concert, Philharmonic, and Chamber Orchestras should plan to attend.

Ravinia Field Trip

Sunday, August 21

COST: $15

This optional field trip is for students in Concert, Philharmonic, and Chamber Orchestras, as well as any returning Symphony Orchestra students. Parents and guardians are invited, too! We will travel to the Ravinia Festival to watch an outdoor concert by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In addition to $15 for lawn tickets, please bring something comfortable to sit on, appropriate clothes for an outdoor concert, and either something to eat or money for dinner.

The primary objectives of the the Glenbard East Music Association (GEMA) are to generate and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various music classes and performing ensembles at Glenbard East High School, lend moral and financial support to the music programs, cooperate with the music department personnel in building and maintaining an organization of people and parents for the purpose of promoting the programs and general activities. We raise and distribute funds for approved projects and objectives in collaboration with the music directors and provide over $12,000 in Scholarships annually.
