Week of December 9, 2024
Dear Hillcrest Families,
It has been a very busy week this first week of December! It has been wonderful to see so many families in the building for parent-guardian/teacher conferences. We truly appreciate your partnership and are excited to share your child's successes in school.
As we enter the festive month of December, I wanted to extend my best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a happy New Year! I hope you stay warm and cozy during this chilly weather and find time to enjoy all the wonderful winter activities and traditions this month has to offer. ❄️☃️
As a reminder, Monday, December 9th is also a half days for students. Beginning on Tuesday, December 10, we will resume full day instruction with dismissal at 3:10.
Reminder: Our HIL Parent Survey remains open until end of Monday, 12/09/24. If you haven't already done so, please click the link above and use the following password: HILparent to share your feedback. You may take this family survey more than once if you have more than one child in our school(s). We thank you and your family for providing feedback to help make our school more supportive and engaging.

Please read the following instructions carefully:
Student Arrival: 6:30 - 6:50PM
Students should arrive between 6:30-6:50PM and can be dropped off at the cafeteria doors that are in the gym. During that time, families can get settled in the gym and wait for the performance to begin promptly at 7PM.
Students Attire:
We're excited to let you know that students can enjoy a fun, summer-themed dress code! They are welcome to wear Hawaiian shirts, sundresses, skirts, shorts, and brightly colored t-shirts. To ensure everyone can move and perform comfortably, we kindly ask that any dresses or skirts have shorts underneath. For safety, all footwear must be closed-toe and have a secure strap at the back.
If you have any questions or need more details, please feel free to refer to the district dress code policy or reach out to us. Thank you for your support in making this a fun and safe experience!
Student Pick-Up:
The show will conclude somewhere around 8:00 - 8:15PM. At the end of the show, you will be given directions on how to pick up your children. We’ll ask that you form two lines at the cafeteria doors in the gym and give us your child’s name and grade. We’ll bring them to the door for you. Please note: This process will take us some time to safely transfer your children to you. We ask for your patience during this time.
If you have any questions, please contact the front office or Mrs. Wierzbicki, Mrs. Tait, and Ms. Fontaine. We are so excited for you all to see the amazing work the students have been preparing for you!
PreK & K-3 Multigrade Class Music & Dance Performance
This performance will be for the students and families in Mrs. Hilse, Mrs. Martinez's, Ms. Tucker, Ms. Knipp, Ms. Coit, and Mr. Brenes' classes.
All parents will be required to utilize our Visitor Kiosk. Please bring your identification with you to expedite the process. Once in the building, your movement will be limited to the performance area only. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our students and faculty safe.
