Start 2025 by doing some reading!

Dear Northwood Middle School Families,

We are off to a fantastic start in 2025! Our students have returned from break with renewed energy, and we are proud of their focus and commitment to learning as we continue through the second half of the school year. Their dedication to our core values—Respect, Responsibility, and Readiness to Learn—has been inspiring to see.

This month, we want to encourage families to make reading a priority at home. Whether it’s setting aside time for independent reading, discussing books together, or exploring new topics of interest, fostering a love for reading helps students build essential skills that will benefit them in all subject areas.

We also want to highlight an important date—Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, February 5th, from 2:30 to 6:00 PM. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with teachers, discuss progress, and set goals for the remainder of the school year. We encourage all families to attend!

Thank you for your continued support in making Northwood a place where students grow and thrive. Let’s keep the momentum going and make February another great month!

Last week our 6th grade students visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Many of them for the first time. It was a great opportunity to experience our community.
